It has been nearly a thousand years since Twilight Sparkle died. Celestia and Luna are gone. The Holy Equestrian Diarchy, ruled by a bigoted and brutal theocracy, has driven ponies apart and divided them along tribal lines. Unicorns are driven from society, feared and hated.

The lessons of friendship, painstakingly written down in the journal of friendship by Princess Twilight and her friends, have been warped and twisted to fit the Diarchy's hateful ideology. But to the average pony, this is the truth and reality of the world they live in, beset on all sides by enemies monstrous and magical.

Emberglow, a young pegasus mare, aspires to join the elite Knights, magically enhanced warriors dedicated to the holy Saints worshiped by the state religion. Can she uncover the lies and deceptions that have led the world to this bitter place?

Twilight has discovered a new spell to use in tandem with the Elements of Harmony. Its intent is to reveal more of the mysteries behind the artifacts. Yet once the spell is cast will the mane six be able to deal with the consequences? What will they learn when they come face to face with the very virtues they claim to embody? The Unity Crystals had been acting oddly for a few days, piquing Sunny and her group’s interest. The artifacts' power was unknown, holding untold secrets of the ancient world within them, but what it bestows upon them is beyond any of their wildest imagination. With endless questions, and an absolute need for more information, the ponies begin a journey to find some kind of an answer.

Leading them to the forgotten ends of Equestria, the path to their goal sends them through the ancient world where the foundations of friendship itself were laid. Though the answers they search for may be better off unanswered.

Sunny knew of the ancient world, the Elements of Harmony, and the six ponies that saved Equestria time and time again. She'd learned how the Element bearers' stories started, and how they ended, all except one - Twilight Sparkle. She always dreamed about learning more of her hero, but never would have imagined how she and her friends would soon become entwined in her tale.

Time can do many things, and for the idol of friendship, it can be her undoing.

This story was started and heavily planned when only Chapter 2 of Make Your Mark was available.

Not long ago, a strange creature named Anon wandered into Maretime Bay. It was clear from the get-go that he needed some help, but not everypony was immediately accepting of the strange creature. So, it fell to Sunny Starscout and her friends to look after the new arrival.

...At least, that was what they thought. When their backs were turned, Anon made an unlikely friend, and she was the last pony they expected to see him with. Posey Bloom isn't exactly known for getting along with others.

And yet, she adores him.

Everypony loves ghost stories. Twilight and her friends are no exception.

Twilight Sparkle is your average multi-billionaire inventor except for one small difference. She's Iron Mare, the armored super hero. She's been facing super villains for what seems like forever, but things quickly change. More seem to appear, each stronger than the last. As strong and smart as she is, she can't do it alone. But one day she realizes that she isn't and that if the magic of friendship can't be saved, it can be Avenged.

However, recovery isn't an easy process, and with each day that passes, her pain only intensifies. But as long as she puts on a smile and tells people what they want to hear, it doesn't matter whether or not she gets better. So long as no one else suffers because of her, that's all that's important, right?

Sunset’s world ended, and she almost lost herself to the darkness that followed. But with Fluttershy’s love and friendship, she managed to survive. Months later, Sunset is in therapy and making strides to reclaim some of her old life. However, there’s still a shadow that swirls in her heart, a shadow that she believes can only be lifted by visiting Twilight’s grave.

Note: You don't have to read the previous story to understand what's happening in this one.

We all know the story: Sunset Shimmer strove to gain power in Equestria, going so far as to act aggressive towards Princess Celestia herself before she wound up diving through the portal into the human world. But was that the complete story, or did Sunset keep some details hidden from her friends that Twilight only recently discovered?

Why, despite her nerves, does she want so much to see her old mentor again? Why did she still watch the sunset even though she said she hated her former mentor? And what is that tune that Celestia sings....

Like Rarity's Mane, this is simply just something short and sweet that I had gotten into my head a week ago, and just had to express in words rather than images. I hope this gives you all at least some enjoyment.
