Decided to make a one-shot based on the infamous song. Yes, I know there's a far more famous one but I did it anyway. It's a different take from the other one anyway. Give it a shot.

This story is a sequel to First

Three years.

It's been a long three years, up there in the north, fighting for Equestria.

At last, though, those three years are over, and Rainbow Dash is finally home again in Ponyville. The war is won and she's returned triumphant, having done her part and served with honor. But after what it's taken out of her - and left lingering inside of her - can Rainbow Dash really come home again so easily? Does the Ponyville she once knew still exist for her? And are the ponies she's coming home to getting back the same Rainbow Dash that went out there to fight for them, those three years ago?

Only marked for gore because of a moderate amount incidentally present by necessity in the first part, and it's not particularly bad, so don't let that turn you off if it's not your thing. Most of the story doesn't have any blood or violence at all.

Magic, Kindness, Generosity, Laughter, Honesty, Loyalty. They're all gone, left. Rainbow Dash was the only one who really wanted for them to stay. Rainbow Dash blamed herself for it, but she knew it wasn't her fault. "Why wold this be happening?" Dash might never know. She was scared, and still is. Now she just sits by the old pond a few miles out of town thinking. She doesn't look back, she doesn't want to see a burning town.

Rainbow Dash's latest flying routine was interrupted by a sudden mountain, and Twilight can hardly sleep at night. No pony should be this excited to play with necromancy.

A trotter wakes up in a farm with no recollection of who she was.

But that's not a new thing...

She's dead, and either she's ignored or hated. Neither seems good.

However, she is different.

She still can't help but feast on flesh, she still can't do anything but wander,

But this mare can think.

She doesn't want to fade away...

Rainbow Dash has never been to the eye-doctor. One afternoon Twilight takes her to the clinic to check her eyes after a minor flight accident. They end up finding out something that makes no sense whatsoever to any pony in Ponyville.

Woke up this morning to see that my random story that was published for no reason got featured 2/28/14. I'm not complaining, but it isn't a work of art :P. I guess anything a teenager writes about multicolored ponies amuses you.

Rarity has always gone for stallions her entire life, but something in her tells her she's looking in all the wrong places. During a party, she realizes a love she had never noticed before for a certain Rainbow-maned marefriend of hers.

Unable to get enough courage to admit her love, Rarity ends the night wishing for a little more, and her dreams end up granting her that wish, letting her experience something she never would be able to.
