I let Fluttershy know that she can continue playing with Tank, and she did. I saw her fly next to him so peacefully and so gracefully, I knew she couldn't stay here. She couldn't stay in Ponyville while all of this is happening. She needed to be somewhere safe...Cloudsdale. Her Parents are still there, she could live with them for a few mounts until she can find a job or something. The bird sanctuary, she could work there. I thought more about it and decided it was for her best interest to go. I waited till she and Tank came down so I could tell her the news.
"Wow Fluttershy, I've never seen Tank so happy." I said with glee.
"Well, I don't know. I think he was just happy to have somepony new to play with." Fluttershy said with a smile. I smiled back and lead her to the couch. I asked if her parents were still in Cloudsdale, and that she had to move back there. I explained to her why, but I'm sure she knew, after all she saw worse things then me. I told her that it wasn't safe here in Ponyville and that Cloudsdale would be the best place for her to go. She understood and agreed to go. The yellow Pegasus was sad, but she didn't show it much. I tried not to cry myself, but only a few tears fell from my eyes. Fluttershy called her parents and told them about her situation, while I sat in the living room holding Tank. He looked at me with his small old-mare like smile, and his goggles on his small tiny eyes. It made me giggle, but I can't keep a smile at the time, memories are to dark for smiles.
I cold here Fluttershy crying from the next room, it changed as she told the story. First it was a cry of hurt, then a cry of regret. It stayed that way for some time then it became a cry of anger, and finally a cry for help. I held Tank close and didn't let him go, I just stared at the wall as I petted my tortoise. I could feel him jerking and trying to get away, but I didn't let him go. I could hear my friend saying her good byes as she hung up the phone. She came out and I got up.
"Hey, w..what did your parents say?" I asked. She lowered her head and answered.
"They said I should get to Cloudsdale as soon as pony possible. I need my things Dash." She told me. I walked over to her and told her that I would giver her enough bits to get back most of her stuff. She was surprised by what I said, she knew I was giving her my Wounderbolt funds.
"No Rainbow. You've been saving that money to go back to the academy, I can't take it from you." Flutttershy was trying to get her point across, but I didn't listen to her. I packed her a small bag with a pamphlet of the bird sanctuary and 100,000 bits. Her bag was ready, but she wasn't. Fluttershy didn't want to leave, she wanted to stay and help her friends with what ever happened to them. She mainly worried about Pinkie Pie. She and I knew that Pinkie hurt her, but Fluttershy thought she could still help her. I told her that we didn't have to go right now, we could stay for a little bit longer. She smiled at me and said thank you. It was turning night soon, I changed my bed sheets, due to the blood that was on Flutershy's hooves. She slept on the bed and I slept on the cloud couch. I could see the stars and the moon through the window in the roof. My eyes got heavy and my body was relaxed, before I knew it, I was asleep.
I was in my house, but it wasn't my house. The clouds that built it were black and with splatters of red. Me, my blue color was gone, my beautiful rainbow mane was light grey and white. I looked up to see through the window in the roof, the skies were red and the clouds were black. I wasn't scared for some reason, I went to check on Fluttershy and found her crying. I tried to talk, but I couldn't say anything, no sound came out of my mouth. I just looked at Fluttershy as she cried. She took a breath and stopped, then her hooves moved from her eyes.
"Dash...I hate you." Fluttershy said. Once she said that she turned around and her tears were blood, her teeth were sharp as nails and she was galloping right to me. I tried to scream, but no sound, I just backed up and shut the door. I turned around and sat against the door, I only felt a few hits from the other side, then they stopped. I looked straight and saw a black shadow, the eyes were red and as it smiled it's teeth, I could see small spots of red. It walked towards me and then the shadow turned into Pinkie Pie, yet the teeth and the eyes stayed the same. Before I had a chance to move, Fluttershy's hooves came through the door and held me down, Pinkie, still slowly walking towards me. Her grin grew slightly, showing her red spotted teeth more clearly. She came to me and stomped on my hind legs, she grabbed one and broke it. When she did I saw color flash as if I was waking up. It went back to its original comic looking color, and Pinkie was staring right into my eyes, then I felt something hit my chest. I looked down...there was...a knife in it. I saw the blood slowly come out, I felt it's warm feeling, I felt it slither down my body. Fluttershy let go of me and was in the room standing next to Pinkie. Pinkie removed the knife and the blood just poured out. I looked at them both, Pinkie with her red eyes and red spotted teeth. Fluttershy, eyes black and white with red tears running down her face. Her hooves stained with her blood red tears. I looked up at the window, it was raining and with every drop, color returned.
I woke up with a small jerk, it was morning an Fluttershy was making tea. I looked at the walls and Fluttershy's hooves. Everything was normal, it was just a nightmare.
"Oh, I hope you don't mind, but I wanted some tea." Fluttershy said with her soft sweet voice.
"I...it's fine. Um...after tea will you be ready to leave?" I asked. She looked at me and nodded with a small smile. I wasn't one for tea, but I heard she makes the best tea in Equestria, so I got a cup. We talked for a bit as if yesterday never happened. It was nice to talk to a friend again. I almost didn't want her to leave, but of course, memories came back. I got her bag and we left. The flight itself felt like forever and sadly, we didn't say much to each other. I glanced at her and saw that she cleaned herself up well, only a few blood spots were on her hooves, but it was barley showing. We could see Cloudsdale and it was about a few miles away. A bird flew next to Fluttershy, a Blue jay. It stayed with her until we got into Cloudsdale, from then on, it sat on her soft pink mane.
"My parents, it's good to see them." Fluttershy muttered. We stopped before we were right at her parents house, and the good bye was harder then ever. We hugged and cried together, I didn't want to say good bye to a friend.
"Don't forget me Dash. Please don't forget me. I want you to stay the same o..okay. A...and when you're done in...in Ponyville, come back and say h...hi. Okay Rain...Rainbow D..Dash." Fluttershy said as she cried. I held her even tighter then before.
"I won't forget you F..Fluttershy. I won't, I'll help out friends...and...and I'll be back before y..you know it. O..okay Flutters. I will be back." I cried to her. We hugged each other and didn't want to let go, but I had to get back to Ponyville. As she walked to her parents, I slowly backed away. I opened my wings, but before I took off Fluttershy turned around and looked at me. I saw her lips move, and she only said one thing, and I intend to do what she said.
"Help our friends. Bring them back to us."
