This is the story of a young pegasus who wants nothing but to explore the world beyond his home. After enlisting in the Equestrian Army, the pegasus finds himself and two others subject to what seems to be special training. The trio are subjected to an experimental process; one that promises to make them a few of Equestria's finest soldiers. What will await the trio as the tanks open again?

A fanfic mostly inspired by the lyrics in Full Moon (Leaving Home) by Przewalski's Ponies. It contains no small amount of headcanonical speculation.
It also ties in with the Courage is Magic campaign my friends and I are running, not that any of you would know that.

All branches of Equestria's military receive airborne certification at Fort Withers, but inter–service rivalry and prejudices have always been a sore point in the barracks.

When a monk has learned all he can learn, he is sent forth on a pilgrimage. A search for knowledge, guided only by a single question, never to return home unless they find an answer. Sabra has been searching for three years, and at long last, he may have found his answer.

It may just not be the answer he expects.

Nimbus Strike, a Royal Guard, gets caught up in a small-scale magical disaster. One that ensures that his life will never be the same again.

The Crossover part is very light, more to do with the general idea behind the story more than anything.

Two fun loving guards put a new spin on the term "national security". To them, everypony is a threat, and they must let nothing stop the Royal Wedding. It takes place right before the wedding, and during it. Watch as they use Chloroform, hilarious forms of interrogation, and weaponized apple pie on ponies who probably don't deserve it.

This is my first fic, so feel free to criticize constructively.
