Living in Equestria under a false name and racial identity is one thing. Finding out you're not the only one of your kind stranded here is another... especially when that someone and the element bearers are looking for you.

Being my first attempt at a first-person romantic comedy, this takes a slightly different approach to the concept of being a human stranded in Equestria.

Out on the frontier, the only friend a pony can really trust is the gun in her hoof. Out where the land is wild and the buffalo roam, more than a few ponies have foregone scratching out a living on the farms or mines to seek riches and glory on the wrong side of the law. As a particularly mysterious and valuable cargo heads west on a long train journey, six mares follow with trouble in their wake, each intending to claim the prize for her own.

Also, a lot of ponies get shot.

It's been two weeks since the defeat of Nightmare Moon. Two weeks since six unexpected ponies became heroes that saved not only Ponyville, but all of Equestria. And in those two weeks Spike "Purple Prose" Flail, ace reporter for the Canterlot Sun, has had plenty of time to get into the swing of his new home in the small town. Life seems good...

Until a new pony blows into town. A specter from Spike's past that isn't willing to let him just have his "happily ever after." A certain ex-student of Princess Celestia herself that Spike hasn't thought of in ages.

One who's particularly eager to show how little a "hero" Spike is.

At the behest of her mentor, The Royal Sage, Cadence is sent out to Ponyville to investigate this phenomena and it's ties to an old folk tale. At her side is The Royal Sage's personal assistant Spike and her childhood friend Shining armor. are the signs true? and if they are can the three discover the secrets of the elements of harmony in time to stop it?

After years of learning her new powers and growing into being an Alicorn, Twilight Sparkle has reached maturity. Her loving mentor Celestia feels she is now ready for the ultimate test, to succeed where her sister and herself failed. Celestia reveals the origin of her sister and herself, and tasks Twilight Sparkle to travel across the great sea and take the throne in the land that they were exiled from.

[Fore note: Absolutely NO knowledge of FTL is required to enjoy this. All that will get you is an occasional, "did he just make THAT into a pony pun?"]

Captain Ditzella "Derpy" Doo of the HMS Lunar Wrath has "acquired" information of vital importance in relation to the Rebel fleet's weakness, and the Rebels will stop at nothing to prevent it from spreading.

Derpy, along with her friend Engineer First Class Carrot Top and daughter Weapons Officer Dinky Doo, have made it their mission to deliver this information to the leaders of the Skylar Federation. The Skylar Federation, a collation of the Society of the Silver Moon, the Shining Liberators of the Sun, and several other different galactic governmental forces, is fighting a losing battle against the Rebellion. The information Derpy and her crew have, unbeknownst to the Federation, could turn the tides of the war in their favor. Now if only they could deliver it without needing to go through a hostile and unforgiving galaxy, while a fleet of angry Rebels is tailing their every move.

They're going to need all the help they can get.
