What if Starlight Glimmer saw through the Mane 6's ruse? After all, she had dealt with such plots before, and she's absolutely confident that she can reach out to the yellow mare that her friends are using for their insidious means.

(Author's note: this is my attempt at a more subtle, realistic kind of mind control/hypnosis. Tell me how it is in the comments! All criticism helps me get better. Also, I intended this as a one-shot, but I set this story to incomplete in case I may want to continue it.)

When Twilight is awake, Celestia is her teacher, and she a faithful student. But when Twilight shuts her eyes, another mare approaches, who teaches her a very different lesson.

After Twilight returns from the Human World, Celestia is desperate to know of her former student, Sunset Shimmer, and what happened to her. Upon learning of the horrible things her former student has done, Celestia breaks down in tears as Twilight asks why she was so important to Celestia and why she never told anypony. Celestia tells the story of her and Sunset. How they were so close, and how one secret ruined everything between them.

Twilight Sparkle, the princess of friendship is dead. In her place, Twilight Shade, the queen of darkness has risen. She has had a lot of time to plan out her next move. And she has her sights set on Equestria. One pony at a time.

Twilight did pass her exam, but her magic did not flare up. Hatching a dragon egg was more of an optional test the parents could agree too. Because her magic never flared, Celestia’s attention was not caught by her. Twilight was left to enter the best academy in the land, but not as the personal student of Princess Celestia.
Only a few months later Twilight sees how alone she is in it, surrounded by unfriendly mares and stallions who were at least three years older than her, she begins to struggle in her studies. Shining is no longer there to help, and neither are her parents. She is convinced she is in this alone.
When one night a mare visits Twilights in her dreams. Nightmare Moon offers to teach her, and help her study, for one thing in return. Travel to the the abandoned castle of the two pony sisters by the thousandth sun celebration.

Princess Celestia wakes to find that she is not in Control in the way she used to be. Seeing how she is not the only one with power. Princess Celestia feeling insecure and weary on the changes around she feels she needs to Control the Princesses. Not just Princess Luna, but Cadance and even her faithful student Twilight Sparkle, but for Princess Celestia this may be a challenge as she needs to develop plan's on how each Pony will fall under her Sleepy, Tired, Relaxed, Heavy, Effortless, Susceptible, Warm, Blissful, Obedient and Mindless Trance into Princess Celestia's Hypnosis. With the Lunar Rebellion reestablished by Luna's return, Celestia is desperate to find any way to hold on to her sovereign power. Twilight supports Celestia, dedicated until the end, going out and trying to maintain the support of the general populace. The ponies wonder, though, why is she so loyal to the dictator?
What about Rainbow Dash? What side will she, the element of loyalty, choose when forced to choose between her friends?

Gore tag is in place just in case. If there is gore in the future, it will be a light amount.

Twilight just got to the human world(again) and hears the whole situation about the Dazzlings. Adagio sees that she can be a threat and decides to take care of her. But not by getting rid of her, instead she wants Twilight to join them. How will they do that? Who knows? Will Sonata get her tacos? Just read and find out. Only slightly dark.

But there are two diarchs of Equestria. Amidst a lucid dream, an offer is made.
