Failing once in her attempt to take Canterlot and failing again in her attempt to take down Twilight, one would think Chrysalis would have cut her losses and let things be, but the queen has once again appeared, this time in broad daylight with no disguise and no army. Her weapon of choice? Diplomacy.

Now Twilight is having to deal with the changeling queen, but surely putting up with her antics will be worth the knowledge she's willing to provide about her mysterious race and the potential undiscovered agents still within their midst...right?

Takes place before Magical Mystery Cure and diverges from there.

As Chrysalis holds her wife one night, Twilight just can't seem to doze off. The semi-newlyweds have cuddled their way into dreams many times but tonight, Twilight finds herself unable to rest. The alicorn dwells on a mare who held her like this before, when she was only a filly, chasing away the nightmares when her parents weren't around. She can still remember her sweet, sad singing- but what was that tune again...?

Twilight is shocked to discover that Queen Chrysalis is back, and this time with a new army behind her. She is even more surprised to find out that the feelings for her she had buried underneath have risen to the surface again, stronger than ever. Would it be betraying Equestria to spend some time with her? Just an hour?

Shining Armor and Cadence had just expelled the evil Queen Chrysalis from Canterlot after nearly destroying their wedding, but not before Chrysalis successfully planted a spell on Twilight. As the last remaining changeling alive in Equestria, Chrysalis must depend on that single spell alone to win Twilight's love and ultimately ensure the survival of the changeling race. Meanwhile, Twilight finds herself often thinking of Chrysalis more than she would feel comfortable with. Can Chrysalis truly win over the heart of Twilight?

But Chrysalis is cleverer than most—or all—changelings, and she's already devised a brilliant solution to this trifling issue: Make a movie about them.

Chrysalis is sick of Twilight always getting in the way of her plans. So sick of it, in fact, that she's willing to do anything in her power to stop Twilight from stopping her. She'll even go so far as to fall in love with her greatest foe.

Twilight and Chrysalis spend Christmas together. The alicorn wants to use the concept to do something nice for her friends. The changeling just wants the four letter word. Being a princess means Twilight has to be more calm and collected when she makes decisions and when she reacts to the world around her. It's a good thing that she's been making progress on that or else the holiday would likely end up a flaming wreck, courtesy of her overzealous obsession with perfection.

Thankfully, the wishes of the pony and changeling are compatible this time.
