Kind of reminds me of the ending I had been expecting out of Naruto, which was that Madara’s plan was to use the Infinite Tsukuyomi to create a world in which he could fight Hashirama forever...and that’s it, that was his grand plan, his goal, the thing he’d been working centuries towards. He just loved fighting Hashirama so much that he never wanted to stop.

Oh this is great. I love the enemy thing with Twilight and Chrysalis. If I were Twilight, I'd consider her my worst enemy for turning my BBBFF and friends against me. Pretty funny the way they have a little romance in there too.
Love makes fools of us all...though I admit that most value their limbs a bit more.
Edit: When I wrote this I thought it would be Twilight talking. I'll leave it here anyway.

Heh, reminds me of another fic where Chrysalis mistakes Twilight fighting (and foiling whatever scheme she cooked up) for "aggressive eloping", resulting in the Queen agreeing to Twilight's apparent marriage proposal by defeating her in combat (I think the idea was paraphrased from Klingon marriage rites). The story then continues with Twilight more or less politically railroaded into actually marrying Chrysalis with the hopes she might be able to redeem the Queen (Ha! Like that'll happen), while Chrysalis works to "woo" Twilight in her own way while having almost no clue what a pony really likes. It's an educational process for both... (Many changeling drones are abused for the comedy)

Changeling courtship rituals was a really cute story
Not gonna lie, the turn was so abrupt I had to reread it a couple times. But it totally worked. Honestly I kinda want more. Like... What is that lunch gonna look like. Does Twilight get her leg reattached. Will she take a trophy from Chrysalis's body. I've fallen hard for this ship before, and for the same sort of premises, but never quite this bluntly done.
Yeah, I talked myself into it. Liked, faved. And you'll get a follow with even a small hint at a sequel.
