Lightning Dust will never be a Wonderbolt. When she left the Academy, she swore she'd never look back. When the Washouts disbanded, she swore she'd forget about them.
Yet after all these years, against all odds, she finds herself here. At a Wonderbolts show. Just on the wrong side of the glass.

An athlete like Lightning Dust is no stranger to doctor visits, and a nurse like Speedy Recovery is no stranger to receiving patients. It would take something pretty cataclysmic to throw them both off.

The Rainbooms are one of the few bands at CHS that didn't dissolve after the fad passed with the Battle of the Bands. Of course, they aren't the only one. Flash Drive never stopped being a thing, which means Applejack and Rainbow Dash can borrow their guitarist to settle a bet. Should be simple, right?

The Everfree forest is just like any other forest—except it's full of monsters and weird magic junk, but ignoring that—it sometimes grows out of control and needs to be trimmed a bit. In order to keep the forest from growing too large, Celestia asks Twilight to start a controlled forest fire to burn a portion of it down. It seems like a simple request, but a series of mishaps and misunderstandings lead to some miscommunication and, subsequently, to Twilight setting fire to all of Equestria.
Hearth's Warming is tomorrow, and Peach Fuzz has a problem.
Her Dad is feeling down, remembering her Mom. That won't do for Hearth's Warming.
So the young filly sets out at the last minute to find the perfect present not just to cheer her Dad up again, but to help keep him smiling in the days to come.
