Life in Equestria has been peaceful for a very long time; However, this kind of peace is not achievable with laws alone. Hidden, like a dirty secret, two societies fight against each other for a fair and just world. Despite their goals being similar, their ways of achieving said goals are far from compatible. One side will grow tired of the other and make a stand, while the other will retaliate so that their way of life will live on. The question is; Which side is right, and which is wrong? But, more importantly; Who will overpower the other?

This idea has been festering for a while. It was inspired by the, always lovely, Lt.Lickme. You can find him on youtube, really wonderful human being. Seriously, check out his stuff. I recommend the ones that this story was inspired from. Anonymous Hacker and Stalker Trolling (More specifically, the stalker reboot: The Watcher)

It has been one of the closest guarded secrets of Canterlot's royalty. Deep in a specially constructed dungeon, surrounded by warding spells and powerful magic barriers, exists an enigma. Within a cage that could only be described as something out of a nightmare, it waits and watches all of Equestria. A creature that cannot age, is immune to disease, does not thirst nor hunger, and resists all injury. But, it also holds secrets and knowledge that could safeguard the kingdom. Its powers are frightening, but it is civil enough for debate when patience permits.

Princess Celestia has sought counsel with the creature before, enduring it making deal after deal for its services. The Princess walks a fine line when dealing with it, knowing full well anything could give it an advantage despite its imprisonment. She has had to go back on her word in these dealings, and from this a deep animosity between them has been born. It is a necessary evil as she is convinced this is a being capable of untold evil far and above anything Equestria has ever dreamed of. So long as it remains within the confines of its cell, her kingdom is made safe. So much magic has been woven to ensure that, there is little chance of escape.

So long as the magic holds, there is no danger. So long as the cage remains strong, the nameless creature stays enthralled in his cavernous dwelling. If that were to change--if the magic failed--not even the wisest could say. But one thing is assured, it does not bode well for Equestria.

Long after a war between Dragons and Ponies is ended by Spike the Selfless, the Dragon King decides to tell Princess Celestia about the bits that she hadn't know about Spike's involvement in his quest for peace

Shortly after Tirek's defeat, Celestia chooses to descend back into the depths of Tartarus to have a few choice...words, with the one being who's sole job is to prevent escapes like that of the mad centaurs'. With questions unanswered plaguing her, she decides the only way to silence her fears are to go to its source. To speak to the jailer of Tartarus.

While few know his name and fewer know what he exactly is, many call him by what he does. He is simply, The Warden.

Celestia sits down for morning tea. That much is regular and calming and a good way to greet the day. She looks across at her darker self, Daybreaker. It would perhaps not be as calming as she had hoped.

Lawful Crane and his girlfriend Pearl Lane happen to be in town during Anon-a-Miss' reign of terror in Canterlot High. Crane, being a skilled detective, is easily able to determine that Sunset Shimmer is being framed. Having devoted his life to protecting the innocent and punishing the guilty, he decides to expose the true Anon-a-Miss as an invisible avenger known as The Shadow. Through the use of a mysterious hypnotic power he learned in the far East, he is able to cloud other people's minds so they cannot see him, rendering him invisible.

Soon, Anon-a-Miss will learn that the weed of crime bears a bitter fruit. . .

This is a crossover with The Shadow Radio Show (1937-1954), a weekly radio program that dramatized stories from the pages of Street & Smith's Detective Story Magazine.

Under the glow of a Hearths Warmming fire two creatures sat. An odd picture they were, one old and sat up on an armchair, the other not but a young lavender filly, sprawled out on the floor. But stories don’t care who tells them, and that night many a story was told. This one, in particular, would stand out as important to the would be princess, at least later in her life. And as such I will tell it here. A recount of the only, and mercifully brief, human/ equestrian war that history would see fit to curse us with. And all the lessons we learned from it. As told from the perspective of an aging scholar and a curious young unicorn.
