Sunset Shimmer failed as a pupil of Celestia– The shadows took advantage of her ambitions and the darkness within, and twisted her into a demon.

…And then Twilight Sparkle, saved her. If only she had known Twilight was the newest pupil of Celestia, her replacement, the living proof of all her failures, before she made a paladin pledge to serve and protect her as a life debt.

A conflict of interest, there. Her guilt, her shame, and her regrets, direct her to be as far away from her past as possible. And her debt to Twilight, her desire to repay her for being saved by her, and even her admiration to her replacement keep her close from all of the things that make her feel weak.

…And now that Twilight became an Alicorn, she realizes she needs a fucking break.

This is an illegitimate prequel to the Princess and the Peasant, due to it being set on the same universe, but at an earlier time frame to that fic! Though it's only a prequel, it's fully related to that story, as you might expect. There will be few references, but it's very much a stepping stone to more being done on that universe!

Everything in Ponyville is peaceful now. Yet, there's one mare who visits a certain grave. Because, there is nothing else left to do now.

One second she was about to taste the sweet and delicious victory she's been yearning for since she was imprisoned.

Instead, she's tasting the Castle floor as her mind began to fully understand the situation she was in. All decisive thoughts were thrown out the window. There was only anger and pain.

The mental contest between Chrysalis and Cozy Glow over who would manipulate who has gone on for far too long. Luckily, Chrysalis recently found a foolproof method of finally overcoming the filly's impudence! With a genius like her at the helm, there was no way her plan would backfire.

One night, whilst up late reading quietly to himself, Anon is disturbed by a mysterious home intruder scratching at his door. Anon does the unconventional and simply lets them into his house and becomes quite possibly the first person to ever sit down and make polite conversation with an actual ghost. A rather cute and flustered ghost at that.

Originally written for the Kinderquestria thread, where the cute, childlike innocence of ponies is taken to its absolute comedic extent.

Anon decides, despite every bit of logical sense, to boop an angelic pony after exploiting her for chores. This could only end well.

After all, boredom is overrated, and the temptation to boop a cute angel pony is too great! Who cares if you could potentially be smited by pony-God, right?

Now if only you weren't literally being sized up by God himself... And said angel is trying to convince him why you should marry.

When my parents told my sister and I that we would be moving to Canterlot, Virginia, I thought it would be a chance for a fresh start. Finding out that Canterlot was populated by cartoon characters put a dent in that plan, and being the only one who noticed for some reason didn't help. On the plus side, I made two new friends! Sure, they might be a little insane eccentric, but at least they haven't ghosted and/or knifed me yet.
