This story is a sequel to A Chill in the Air

In an effort to learn and use the Rainbooms' own tricks against them, the Dazzlings attend a party at Sunset Shimmer's urging. While they're there, they share tales of their exploits in this world up to and beyond the Battle of the Bands.

Sunset Shimmer has been accepted by the girls at Canterlot High as a friend and she's learning a lot about friendship. However, she still finds herself missing her old home more often than not. She decides to volunteer her time at the local horse park to try and give herself something to do and reconnect, at least vaguely, with her equine roots.

Before the Battle of the Bands Adagio Dazzle had everything she thought she needed. Ambition, power, loyal-ish minions and her voice. Now, she has nothing. No friends, no magic and no future unless she can figure out how to pick herself up after the defeat of the Dazzlings.

Perhaps fellow failed villain could help her through these tough times?

The Dazzling's, in dire financial straights after the Battle of the Bands, open a restaurant with Anon. They solve mysteries. Cuteness ensues.

The Rainbooms are still jerks to them. Sunny is ok.

Ever since the events of the Fall Formal, Sunset Shimmer has done a lot for Canterlot High, saving the school and its students many times now but even then, Sunset doesn't feel like it's enough. She then decides to take on the seemingly impossible: reform their old adversaries, The Dazzlings, starting with the leader, Adagio herself.

Sunset and Adagio decide on a bet: if Sunset can win her over on "the magic of friendship" in a week's time, Adagio will give it a chance and maybe convince her fellow sirens to follow suit. Will Sunset succeed and make a new friend (or possibly three) or will she truly be in over her head?

The Dazzlings have nothing left. They're out of money, have no place to live, and are getting on each other's nerves. Desperate to get their lives back on track, they do something they never thought they'd do: re-enroll at Canterlot High School.

Reinvigorated with a desire to be adored by their peers, the Dazzlings make it their mission to become the best students at CHS! There's only one problem.

Trigonometry.

On a cold Winter's day, while on her way to the store, Adagio meets a talented, and homeless street performer. For some reason, the siren finds herself feeling rather attached to the girl. Much to her chagrin. Under extenuating circumstances, Adagio Dazzle just might find her life changing in some unexpected ways.

(Takes place post Sunset's Backstage Pass.)

Broken magic. A broken home. Three once-Dazzlings still live under the same roof, but drift apart as the weeks following their defeat pass on.

One spirals downward. Another moves forward. And Aria collapses inward—to her head full of dreams, held down by a shattered song and doubts of her own self-worth.

One night, an unwelcome voice finds her and leaves her with a choice to be made.
