Changelings are inevitably linked to social insects. Their hierarchy, mannerisms, and single-minded natures all clearly link them to it. But the issue with social insects is that family and individuality generally don't mean anything to them. Yet for Pharynx and Thorax it does. They've always been different than other changelings, and now with Chrysalis ousted those differences are all the more distinct.

In looking for answers though, the two may stumble across answers they would rather have left hidden.

While returning from a political summit in the dragon lands, King Thorax and Prince Pharynx navigate their way through a dense woods. When gnarled branches and twisting shadows take shape, the brothers find themselves holding their ground against the changeling's former tyrant. But while one brother readies himself for a fight, the other faces his predecessor unarmed, seeking not victory, but answers.

Cadance starts a paid dating service, doubling as a firm for both marriage and divorce law, and hires a 'reformed' Chrysalis as an intern.

Nopony's relationship is safe, least of all her own.

Whilst their younger siblings take part in Equestria's annual royal summit, newly-met Shining Armor and Pharynx find themselves alone in a waiting room, with little to talk about other than what they share in common - a passion for homeland security, and a dorky little brother/sister.

About two years after Chrysalis's failed attempt at taking over Canterlot, Chrysalis gets captured by the Royal Guard for attempting to attack Equestria once again. She gets sentenced to life in solitary confinement in the lowest depths of the Canterlot Dungeon. After a year of wishing for revenge, Chrysalis grows tired and begins to question her motives.

She comes to the realization that all she needed was to earn everyone's respect and love, rather than force it. However, she learned her lesson too late, and must endure the last moments of her seemingly futile existence.. with only a small glimmer of hope left to keep her alive.. and a chance to make a friend.

*Note: Only canon through seasons 1-before season 6 finale.
*Warning, characters contemplating suicide.

Twilight Sparkle was born with what some might call an unquenchable curiosity. Always she has had a driving need to know the answers to everything in the world around her. Why do the birds sing, what makes the sun rise... What happens to us when we die.

The first standalone story I've done on FiMFiction, any help or criticism is appreciated.

After years of ever-mounting pressures of princesshood and the running the School of Friendship, Twilight makes a difficult choice. Now, she needs to surrender the stewardship of the Castle Library to somepony else. At least it’s her old friend Moondancer.

That should be simple enough. Shouldn’t be any complications. None at all. Right?
