This story is a sequel to Delinquent Debutante
There are many, many things Queen Chrysalis would rather be doing in what little spare time she has than making a trek to the frigid northlands - unfortunately, the intel she collected warrants the long, cold, unpleasant trip. Seriously, who in their right mind would capture a Princess ~ moreover, how could somepony capture a Princess?! With her day thoroughly ruined, she begrudgingly embarks on a small adventure...

You captured all of them, horsefly.
I really loved this!
It was really funny to experience how cocky Sombra was and how Tia's plan had somehow managed to get by him, and Chrysalis having to seethe internally to not ruin things, especially that last part. It was so well done!
I have been loving the previous ones and I still love this! The subtle gradual heart Chrysalis is developing gives warmth much like her growing relationship with Sunbutt.
Amazing fic!
Ok that was great but you have to show us Twilight freaking out when those two kiss and she finds out there into romantic play fighting.
I have to wonder how long it will take before Chrysalis begins to question her memories of the wedding. In her joy over a plan succeeding was Celestia really as helpless as she seemed. Did she double check her emotions. Etc.
While I feel this worked for building on the character development, this was probably the weakest of the series so far. Mostly just Chrysalis informing Sombra of what an idiot he is. Very little actual interactions with C and C.
Unrelated - she had also never been in her true form while looking in a mirror.

Lest you forget, she's the Queen of the changelings

I am looking forward to that as well.
Celestia just wants to play the "damsel in distress."
And she likes being rescued by her "knight in shining carapace."
Yeah, sure... she said she was just teaching her protégé. But I think she was delightfully surprised at how things turned out.
Love this series. Thanks for posting.
That was great really love this series.

If you want to go there, I'm not sure the Umbrum strictly qualify as ponies either.
I’m unused to coming into stories fresh after they’re released, and was super sad to see there isn’t anything after this yet. I’m going to have to start checking in on your profile more often.

This is part of an ongoing series
Think of them as comic books - short little stories that capture the escapades of Celestia and Chrysalis
I adore this series. It's delightfully slow-burn
Hahaha, nice.
Why am I certain that once Moonbutt's done with him, Sombrero will literally have his head lodged up his backside, like a reverse pony Ouroboros?
LUNA... laungage
Now now let's be honest, she came to check on you
When will the continuation of this magnificent story be released?

Gonna be working on the next installment shortly
Sombra: *sad fellow villain noises*
Ah, I think I see where that is going.
Luna will besopissed...Chrysalis: "I can't decide which one of those I hate more right now."
Yup, that sounds perfectly like something Celly would do.
Good story!
I enjoyed reading it.
It is already established that Celestia is not a good actress, but I am still convinced that over the millennia she still mastered one skill to perform with her expressions — but one would be enough — and that’s the poker face.
Combined with age-old experience, top-notch planning and the full power of the sun, she’s never in a rush, especially not about her relationship with Chrysalis~
Loved it, classic joker villain, looking forward to the next.
