I liked the story, but I loved the ending. lol. That was great. Thanks for writing this!
This story made me feel really sad. No one deserves to go through that, especially not Sweetie Belle. Makes me wish that the story ended on a note that helped Sweetie heal without resorting to... all that.
With that in mind, excellent story telling. Only thing I didn't like was the twist at the end. Felt kinda forced, but still was cool to see. Great stuff.

I separated that stinger into it's own chapter precisely because it's not as serious as the rest of the story and I want people to be able to ignore it if they want.

Okay, that was an emotional rollercoaster. All this empathization, all this turmoil, all this hesitation, and then right at the end you whip the tension away like a tablecloth out from under the fine china. It's a bit of a
rugtablecloth pull, but the sudden relief (ba-dum tshhh!) makes everything else so much better!
