There are a few Spike Clop fics that are decent. The Author Neon Czolgosz has one and TheVClaw has one that isn't a good clop but I like Spikes attitude and outlook. It's kind of a "Its my body, Im an adult, Im doing what I enjoy wither you like it or not." But not in a whiny sort of way. Refreshing from Spike.

I'm no stranger to writing fics that are "controversial", to put it mildly, but I will say I was surprised to see how negative the reaction was to a story about a few consenting, adult gentlemen having a healthy, safe sexual encounter. Kinda funny, to be honest. I have a story about incest, murder, and r*pe that has fewer dislikes than this.

It really is very strange. I wouldn't even say that the general public on Fimfiction is particularly averse to gay stuff. It's not super popular but people don't mass downvote it. Instead, it looks like there is an active minority that gives gay stories a small, but significant in the beginning amount of downvotes. If you can break through that into the feature box, they would be drowned out by upvotes, but if you don't, you get a situation like this one. Though in your case there are even more downvotes than usual, maybe because of the pretty explicit picture of Spike on the cover (it's AMAZING btw, he looks sooo delicious and slutty there).
Pretty sad that this is how it is. I don't know if this is some kinda homophobia or something, but some people do seem very intent on downvoting every gay story they see, much more so than if this was simply an issue of not sharing the kink.
99% of femboy spike stories (and art too now that I think about it) is strictly either feral or anthro so a human femboy spike is a nice change of pace
