Mindscape

I... have no idea what I'm doing...

T

With the Bearers of Harmony sent on a friendship mission by the map, Applejack asked Tempest Shadow to help Granny Smith who’s alone at the farm. Of course, as soon as she gets there, Granny tells Tempest that something important to the Apple family has been stolen, and she needs Tempest’s help to get it back, sending them both to a den of scum and villainy to do so.

Tempest was hoping for a simple day of bucking apples, but it seems Granny is the boss, and she has other plans.

Ok. I need to know. I have to know. I'm dying to know.

What was in that case?!!

Well done story. Loved every bit of it!

That's a yes, I'll be reading this soon

I'm glad you enjoyed, and thanks so much for the favorite
As for what's in the case, isn't the mystery so much sweeter? :raritywink:

Yes but the suspense is horrible XD Every good mystery lets you know all the peices sooner or later!

But I'm leaning towards the notion that Granny is in fact a mob boss in her own right and that whatever's in that case is some very valuable, high class, probably magically enhanced something worth millions of bits!

I spotted a Pulp Fiction reference in there when the case was opened.

Say no more.
Inspired by Ronin? Never got to see what was in that case either.

The briefcase from Ronin contains the briefcase from Pulp Fiction.

Yeah, it was a random, fun idea that popped into my head early on in planning when I knew Tempest would never find out what was in the case, so I just had to put in there :rainbowlaugh:
Funnily enough, I've never actually watched Pulp Fiction, but I've seen that scene parodied before.

Actually, I've never heard of Ronin before (man I suck at catching up with iconic movies, don't I?), but it doesn't surprise me I'm not the first to use the concept.

Definitely fun. I love imagining a storied past for Granny, and you did that well. You told us just enough to be engaging and and still mysterious. Congrats and good luck.
