In my opinion, I feel like Twilight should've just taken Sunset's body into the portal and bury her in her own birth home world than this world who hasn't helped her and even neglects defending her cause it just feels wrongs of having her buried in the human world. I can't be the only one who thinks the exact same thing.

That's the issue, though. It's not Sunset's body, there isn't anything to take back. Twilight fabricated a body that just looks like Sunset so the world where she lived had something to bury that wouldn't raise questions or suspicions about magic.

It's a theory amongst my friends that The Entity is an iteration of The Darkness. The creators of DeadBy Daylight refer to The Entity as female (as much as an Eldritch Abomination conforms to human gender concepts anyway) and the female version of The Darkness is named Amara.

On the ""plus"" side, Rainbow, I'm not sure you could get away from the Entity now if you wanted to; I think it's probably waiting to take you to see just how far you'll go, and how much... preparation for your new job you'll do to yourself all on your own.

My god. Her descent was great and chilling to read. Loved how the pieces were revealed to us. You always 'pick' on Rainbow Dash but I know it's because you see her story potential.
You're really building a universe here and setting up so many pieces for your big sequel! So many side stories in between two longer stories. At this rate I think I want a physical print of all of this. Not sure if the audience is there but it deserves said audience!
The opposite happened to me here compared to another of your Dead by Sunset stories, I was sure this was finished now. But no! It's incomplete still! I'm terrified in the good way to see where this goes! I know it's not marked horror but that sense of dread is still permanently present throughout this so far.
There were lots of familiar elements here from the familiar lore you use in your other stories about EqG Canterlot' layout and "runners". It makes the whole world feel familiar to me. So I'm strangely comfortable in this dark, cold universe you've crafted.

I'm glad you're enjoying the side-stories. I feel like I need to relink that blog I wrote where I explain how, 'no, really, I really don't hate Rainbow Dash', because I really just kick the dog with her.
This here, by the by, is why I was so ambivalent about writing Dead by Midnight. Because I knew all along it would involve a massive time skip, and that would require a ton of extra work. Dead by Sunset was relatively self-contained, but Dead by Midnight was always going to be significantly heavier. Also if I'm being honest, I didn't actually intend this to be this long, but the moment I start writing it the words just poured out. Rainbow's story just sort of exploded, and now it's really turning into its own story. It occurs to me, actually, that this is the first time I've really written Rainbow Dash as a protagonist. It's certainly the first time I've written from her perspective not counting the few sections of DBS where she had perspective parts.
As for the familiar feeling of Canterlot, that's actually been a long-running goal of mine. I purposefully write in the same version of Canterlot, just slightly different timelines. In the same way that Manehattan is the EQG version of New York, my headcanon is that Canterlot is the EQG version of Chicago, and I try to keep that cohesive.

Having just been broken up with by my fiance, I understand people being too positive and not wanting to accept their help or even be around them. But, the hopeless romantic in me wants to see Rainbow being helped and cared for and finding some pretty lady to spend her life with.

So, per usual for Dead by Sunset (and anything I write), Rainbow Dash is definitely gonna get her ass kicked from Canterlot to Manehattan, but I also have a rule of 'no bad endings' so I promise that however dark Rainbow's story gets in this (and boy it gets dark), she will get a happy end.

That was such a depressing & difficult reunion between former friends & to see it end with Rainbow passing out with Sunny Krueger's voice haunting her once again was heartbreaking & terrifying.
It's amazing how similar losing your best friend and getting dumped by your fiance are.
I feel for Dash here, but she also needs to pull her head out of her ass. Drugs and self-harm don't solve anything, no matter how much you try or how hard you hope. The world, for better or for worse, doesn't quite work like that.
