WAIT, scratch that. Mead for no one. Which is a party in itself if you hate mead.

7718264 hmmmm...ok ALCOHOL AND WATER FOR EVERYONE!!!!! Does that work?

Skip to 30 seconds, you'll get it. Even though I butchered the quote.

Ok, Tia has been corrupted, recommend vaporization

“Well it had to be forwarded in triplicate and signed off on before we could actually fire the Elements, those things take time you know.”

Nice use of Churchills ''We Shall Fight on the Beaches''-speech

Hence to fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence
Supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting

Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for someone to call me out on this? Bonus points if you can find the references in the earlier chapters too.

“Ah don’t like bein’ lied to.” ‘What the hell, how did she know?’

No! Not another AJ lie detector story!

I can tell whoever wrote the proofreading software I use is an Imperium fanboy. It flagged Abaddon as a misspelling, even after I looked it up to make sure I had it right, but not Failbaddon.

I can see great things in the future, and bad things.....imma ignore the bad things

Chapter has been read, processed, and had been deemed a rating of:

OHMYGODOHMYGODYOUGUYS

7762221
For the characters or style wise?

7764407 the characters, I mean, if the don't find Dopple, he might go viral. And if that happens their all fucked. And I also see Tia getting her ass kicked for being a jackass...No offense to donkeys of course.

Decided that post was pretentious and got rid of it

Havent actually read this yet.

but remember, Gameplay and story segregation.
the whole "having to have a main form and only one disguise" thing is gameplay only, same with the water weakness...
you could totally go all shoggoth on people, or, grow extra limbs, shapeshift around attacks, split appart into thousands of flies and sneak about, have some fly down throats and absorb the biomass, then recombine into one or keep multiple bodies, explore the depths of the ocean, Tia might not find you down there...

7782011
Trust me dude, the first thing I did was strip the game nerfing off the character.
I laughed way too long at your suggestion of "going shoggoth on people," thank you for that. You mind if I use it later on?
By the headcannon-lore I'm working with, intelligence is determined by how much biomass the character has, so the flies idea wouldn't work very well. Other than that, spoilers.

Interesting. Though I highly dislike how you're having Celestia here. Seems extremely out of character. HOWEVER, when it comes to Displaced, I'm used to characters being different due to differences in the timeline, and this one certainly qualifies as a different timeline.

Though, in truth, there's more nations than just the ones you mentioned, actually. Some admittedly shown in the comics, but still. And I guess the griffons survived better in this timeline, eh?

Oh, and since he absorbed Zebras, he should have access to some levels of magic now. Not just potion making. Zecora has been shown briefly to have other skills. From what I've seen, from both the shows and comics, her magics are more... adaptive, than ponies, but not as directly powerful without some sort of item to act as a channel for said magic.

I explain in one of the author's notes that this Celestia is based off of how I interpret the character, as you said, Displaced multiverse and all that.
I could spout some nonsense about different countries rising to power in different timelines, but the truth is that I forgot they existed, same for Zebra magic but I'm keeping Jekyll from gaining the ability to use magic to keep him from becoming too overpowered. If you judge him based on the Displaced power level scale, he's already an Uber by chapter 2. It wouldn't be any fun if he suddenly jumped to Titan class.

It took me way too long to find this but here's the scale I'm going off of.

You ever heard that creepypasta bout how if you talk to "The Merchant" at Comic-Con you're never seen again?

Where can I read that creepypasta?

Loving this chapter. My only complaint is the glancing over of the tokens memories. But, at the same I'm, I'm also glad that you didn't let it distract from the story. The best of Displaced fics tend to find a way to keep crossovers to where they either support the departing Displaced's plans in some way(such as leaving to aid another Displaced) or take part in such a way that it still furthers their timeline.

One of the main complaints people have about Displaced fics is that they tend to derail the plot. As long as you prevent that from happening when you do crossovers, then you'll surely continue to do amazingly well with this fic of yours.:D

7785549 I made it up, though I suppose you could consider the entire Displaced series a "The Merchant" creepypasta.

7786126 That was more of a jab at the sheer number of Displaced fics, and don't worry I'll set up how crossovers will tie into the story in the next chapter. I know exactly what you mean about the derailing issue and bothers me too.

7786174 Yeah. In the end, crossovers in themselves aren't bad. But, what matters is how they're handled in the story.

Bit of an Easter egg, if you do a google image search for "said elegantly" one of the returns is a picture of one of the Trolls from Homestuck saying "What the literal fuck"

Someone make some fan-art of this abaddon please!

7786666 I know, right? Gimme a second to make a blog post with my inspiration for the character design. If someone actually makes this I'll set it up as the cover image.

Abaddon concept post is up.

Celestia does comes across as sociopathic in the show.

7788188 I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one who noticed.

Wait, all along this was a Displaced fic?

I guess I didn't realize it because that genre is so over saturated with shitfics that its pretty much become a common gag to jab them, so when you find one decently written, you forget what it even is.

7790863 I think that's the best compliment I've gotten so far

7788188
I think the word you're looking for is "Psychopath." Sociopath would imply that she is loud and rash when things don't go her way, of which she always maintains a calm aura around her in the show. Psychopaths are generally more dangerous due to their much more developed subtlety. Though, both disorders make the affected persons see everyone around them as objects rather than people. Objects to be manipulated as they please.

In this fic however, you can argue that she is a sociopath due to her blunt and obvious hatred of Jekyll, the one being alive that she can't control or manipulate in some way. Psychopaths hold grudges in very much the same manner, but they will wait it out until the absolute perfect time to strike, where they'll be holding all the cards.

Crossovers eh? What about a dishonored crossover?

“According to our information, all you need to do is take an item of some significance, speak the message you want to accompany it, and will it into other universes.”

“That’s retarded. Check it again, there is no way in hell it works like that.”

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

Yep. Celestia is majorly out of character here. But, I'm guessing there's a reason for it that'll be explained later.

Also, seems you didn't explain much of how some of the new characters look from this chapter. Probably best to work on that as ya go.

Lastly... I see his plans with the tokens not working as intended. He think that they're summoned to him, by how he responded there. He didn't realize that he gets summoned to them. And only those Displaced that have had experience in being summoned gain gradual control over that, from all I've read.

*slow clap* I like this story, little overly common start but jumped of the Gary stu train very quickly. Good work.

7795479 Could you post that again without the eldrich font? I got "has heard your request and summons you Jekyll"

7794979 I'll fix the description issue as soon as I'm around a working computer and some WiFi, right now I'm working off of my phone.
As for the Celestia thing, I'm sorry but you're going to have past the fact that she's my main antagonist. I get where you're coming from, I didn't like the way Luna was portrayed in "Diaries of a Madman." It's just one of those things that comes with having different writers working with the same characters.
