maybe try reading it first? it's actually not that bad of a fic if you take into consideration that the normal "zebradom" tropes aren't visible at all in this fic (like "striping" is seen more as an optional feature, and there isn't any xenophobia or "higher than you" behaviors from either buurta or shining. it's actually a rather sweet story!)

Zebras in horsesmut tendentially fill the same trope as black actors do in porn, usually being represented with above average genitals with the implication being that it's a genetic factor. They are also occasionally used as a more general stand in for black people and it'll occasionally get downright racist, though that's not the topic here. Whether or not the whole zebradom thing is considerable racist is another discussion entirely, personally I think it largely depends on what the author's intent and approach is and on what the reader's interpretation is, but going in depth about this would require me to talk about porn more in general, something I don't have the necessary knowledge to do and something I would never do on this site anyway, I still have PTSD after the last time someone tried to. As a side note to make things clear, I absolutely don't think Leech is a racist just because he writes porn with zebras, that would be idiotic.
The point is, zebradom is a trope which was very prevalent at one point, not always well executed, it borders on somewhat controversial topics and it has generally left a bad taste in some people's mouth. However, I will add that it's not the only reason this story is getting downvoted. Anthro, gay sex, and Shining as a sub are all things bound to attract downvote bombing, and in this fic's case it has not yet gained the popularity necessary to show how that was just a targeted attack rather than an actual consequence of the story's quality. Basically, groups of people will downvote without reading.

There’s an issue with the way he speaks in this section (aside from the asyndeton, that’s probably just a stylistic choice on your part right here). I forget the term for it, but in sentences like that, generally, each part is supposed to have the same structure. The first part seems to be a subject, doing an action, the second is the way a subject is doing an action, and the third is just a subject existing. Like, if you said “how the” or “the way the” prior to the first part, the first and second parts would be fine together (you wouldn’t even need the “how the” before the second part, it’d just be implied with all of the parts) but the third part wouldn’t work with it without being changed. Alternatively, getting rid of the “how the” and “the way the” altogether would work without changing the third part, though “dig” and “gives” would need to be changed to “digging” and “giving”
