...I've slept with the Cadence plushie and didn't notice...
This gave me a laugh to be certain. Lol. Nice one-shot -- full of good detail and word use. This honestly felt like it could be an episode if the show had some more freedom.
The song choices were solid as well. Both of the provided links matched well with the voices of the characters, and I never would've thought to use them. :P

I wanna see a second part where twilight appears after cadence and starts singing.
This was a fun little read. The writing was smooth and the jokes made me laugh.
One critique would be the contrivance of 'your good at singing, be an act at my club!' was a bit quick. It would have been nice to have had a little bit in between those two ideas. I get its all supposed to be rather silly so not that important.
Excellent ending punch line with Cadence! I wonder if Celestia will be up next week!

Celestia: "Oh, my. I haven't seen that many bits since I had to pay Twilight's book bill."
Luna: "You don't think...."
Whinny-as T Barn-am: "Announcing the next number--"
Celestia: "She wouldn't."
Luna: "She couldn't."
Cadence: "Hey, a schoolteacher's salary doesn't go as far at the bookstore any more. Pull up a chair and watch her sing."
