S3E15: Stressed in the Show (Flash's Ending)

Author's Note:

Unlike the canon, this episode will be focusing on Flash Sentry's trying to help Twilight to calm down from her stress. I don't think Pinkie Pie actually did anything to calm her stress down at all.

Fall Play was around the corner. Many of the students including Mane Seven and Dragon Strike Force are getting involved with it such as building and painting the backdrops for the play, designing and creating many kinds of props, sewing and making clothes and also rehearsing their acting and singing for the upcoming event. The event was handled and directed under Shorty Thinking and Sunset.

In the afternoon, Shorty and Sunset brought Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow and Flash were rehearsing for the upcoming play. Everyone seems to be enthusiasm and excited with the rehearsal except Twilight, who seems to be distracted and tired as well.

Rarity used Southern Belle Accent for her role while making a dramatic pose, "Mother, I fear I do not share your dreams of coal. Instead, my heartbeat calls for me to dance!"

After her line, everyone waited for Twilight to speak hers now. To their surprise and concern, she didn't respond.

"Ahem. Heartbeat calls for me to dance?" Rarity repeated her lined. Twilight didn't respond again. She shouted, "To dance!"

"Oh, sorry. Uh..." Twilight apologized. She then read her script, "But Selfie Soot, my sweet summer child, without your help, I'll never mine the mine in time." She suddenly panicked and exclaimed frantically in fear and stressed, "Or run lines with Flash Sentry in time, or help Applejack build a stage in time, or practice my monologue in time, or find time for time and time!"

Everyone was alerted and shocked by Twilight's stressed behavior. Shorty and Sunset got off their seats while approaching to her now.

"Uh, am I missing a page?" Rainbow asked in confusion while going through her script.

Flash shook his head, "You're not, Rainbow. It's her stress again."

"Um, when was the last time you took a break from the play?" Sunset asked.

Twilight exclaimed frantically and stressfully, "Take a break! Break a leg! Break a take!"

Rainbow whispered to her friends, "I think she's broken." This prompted Fluttershy to nudge her friend's arm. She yelped in pain, "What? I'm just saying."

"Breathe, Twilight." Sunset said calmly while holding her friend's shoulder, "You just need something to take your mind off the play a little while. We're here for you. Right, everyone?"

"Of course!" Rainbow exclaimed happily.

"Let one of us help take your mind off it." Fluttershy suggested.

Flash nodded firmly, "You can count on us to help out."

Twilight gave some thoughts of whom can help her out with the stress of hers. Who will be the lucky guy or girl to do that?

After some consideration, Twilight chose Flash to help her out since they're both now partners in science and also playing as the parents to Rarity's character – Selfie Soot. They both now at the music room, where Flash was checking and testing out his electrical guitar, making sure they're working well.

"Okay, Flash, I'm here already," Twilight asked curiously and firmly, "So, how are you gonna help me feel relaxed and not get stressed too much."

After setting up his electrical guitar, Flash played it a bit with soft tone, "Well, we're here to play some songs for the Fall Play, obviously. I promised Sunset and Shorty that I get it done by the end of the week."

"Are you kidding me?" Twilight asked in disbelief and stressed with a headache, "I thought you said that you wanna help me with my stress problem!"

"I am." Flash answered calmly, making Twilight confused. He explained, "Whenever I get stressed, I played some music to calm my stress and nerve down. Or better yet, listening to music also make your stress disappeared."

"Really?"

"What? Don't tell me that you'd never done it before?"

"To be honest, I'm more of reading books than doing some outdoors. And may I remind you that I'm a vocal. I'd never play any instrument in my life. I'm sure you know that, Flash."

Realizing what Twilight was talking, Flash gave a facepalm on his head, "Of course. I forgot."

"Still, are you sure that playing or listening to music will help me stress down?" Twilight asked in doubts.

"Sure," Flash smiled confident, "It's simple. I need you to listen carefully to my music and song. If you find any music that I conduct and play peaceful and great, you'll fall asleep peacefully and quietly. You ready?"

Twilight sighed while shrugged a bit, "Since I'm here, might as well try it out. Here goes nothing…"

Just as Twilight sat down on the staircase, Flash began playing his guitar for her to listen carefully. He played it in different kind of tunes such as smooth and gentle as the melody, electronically hard and fierce as heavy metal, gentle and harmonically as the classic, popstar and hiphop style of tune. Twilight listened to almost all of them. She sighed warmly and calmly as she couldn't help but feel peaceful and happy to hear them, though some tunes a bit rough for her to enjoy. She gave some criticism on how the music should goes, which he agreed to make some changes on it. Though it was serious works, Twilight didn't seemed to be stressed or bothered about it.

Flash came across to 'Beauty of the World' song, which soothed gently and harmonically towards her ears. Twilight sighed happily as she actually like the song before falling to her sleep on the staircase.

After playing the music, Flash found her lying down on the staircase. He slowly and gently picked Twilight up with his hands. He placed her on the sofa chair for her to relax. She slept soundly and peacefully. He sighed in relief that he finally succeeded to get her rest for good. He then heard the door opened. He turned and found Sunset and Shorty entered the music room.

"So, how is she?" Sunset asked.

Flash smiled with thumbs up, "Sleep like a baby. Told ya that I can make her sleep."

"What a relief," Shorty said in agreement, "And the soundtrack?"

Flash smirked as he picked up couple of soundtrack CDs, "All are in. Ready for the show."

Shorty nodded, "Excellent. Good job."

"Just doing my job, sir," Flash commented confidently.

Twilight yawned out loud, alerting Flash and his friends. Sunset cleared her throat, "I think we should put earphones to listen to music. We don't wanna wake her up."

Shorty and Flash nodded in agreement and firmly. The scientist student brought his laptop with him. Just as he turned it on, they placed the CDs into it. Playing the soundtracks, they all used their earphones attached to it for them to listen carefully. And at the same time, Twilight was still sleeping peacefully and soundly. Good for Twilight…
