S2E8: My Little Shop of Horrors (Mystic)

Aqua wasn't the only chosen one to find and get her Elemental Geode. Shorty was chosen as well on the same day. Using and following his Magical Detector, he was heading straight to Principal Celestia's mansion, where he found her and Twilight were talking near to the garden. He approached to them.

"Oh. Shorty, good to see you here. Have you come to assist Twilight with gardening?" Principal Celestia asked in surprise.

"Well, not exactly," Shorty admitted in concern. He showed his Magical Detector, "In fact, I was sent here to find the geode."

"Geode? The same magical jewelry that caused Camp Everfree?" Principal Celestia asked in concern.

Shorty cringed in concern, "Yeah. That would be it. My detector believed it's somewhere around here. The sooner I get it, the better to avoid damages."

"I see. That's thoughtful of you," Principal Celestia said calmly, "Though you wouldn't mind helping Twilight to take care of the garden while you're looking for geode."

Shorty hummed thoughtfully, "To be frankly, I haven't thought of that. But I wouldn't mind."

"Thank you, Shorty," Principal Celestia thanked Shorty humbly. She turned and looked at Twilight, "And I should thank you for looking after my garden while I'm away on vacation, Twilight. I really appreciate it."

Twilight smiled happily while showing off her watering can, "Don't worry, Principal Celestia. I will make sure that your garden will be perfect shape and scenery."

Principal Celestia giggled a bit, "I'm sure you do. Now, I must go and pack up my stuffs for my vacation."

Principal Celestia handed over her garden keys to Twilight. She then headed off to her mansion for packing her clothes for vacation.

Shorty approached to Twilight as she said, "I wasn't expecting you to be here, Twilight. I didn't think you have interest in gardening."

"By next week, my class will be learning about botany. So, I thought this will be the perfect chance to expand my knowledge!" Twilight explained happily, "I'm so excited! I even brought my own watering can!"

"Of course, you do. But you do realize that Principal Celestia has the gardening tools, right?"

"Yeah, well, I'd prefer to try with mine first before using others. The last thing I need is making a mess or breaking stuffs."

"So, true. Glad someone understands how I feel when it comes to my tools and personal stuffs. Won't appreciate it if they're badly damaged."

"That is so true."

"Hey. Should we get started or what?" Spike asked impatiently and annoyingly.

Twilight giggled, "Okay. We're going in now."

"You can start your planting and watering," Shorty said firmly and calmly while preparing his Magical Detector, "I'm gonna start searching for the geode."

"Let's get to it!" Spike cheered.

Twilight, Shorty and Spike marched into the garden house. Twilight placed her watering can on the table. She took the broom as she happily sweeping and gathering the leaves into one area. Spike was sitting close to the table, accompanying and watching her owner gardening. Using his Magical Detector, Shorty searched around the garden house, finding the Elemental Geode.

Unknown to them, the strange magic brownish aura was flying and entering the watering can. It glowed in brown sparkling colors.

Twilight Sparkle: Give a little and you
Get a little and you
Care a little and it starts to show

After sweeping the leaves, Twilight put the broom against the wall. As she approached to her watering can, she gave Spike a gentle pet. She then approached to couple of flower pots, which she watered them happily.

Twilight: Growing things is easy
If you just give it room to grow

And just before Twilight could move on, she noticed something about the flower pots, consisting of white, reddish horn-like flower, rose and yellowish flower. They were glowing in greenish colored. And at the same time, they stretched out like they've just awaken from their slumber.

"Oh!" Twilight gasped in surprise. She laughed a bit. She approached to them to greet them, "Well, hi there, little guys! How are you doing?"

Four flowers curiously looked at each other for the moment. They then began singing and dancing happily and calmly. Twilight joined them as well. After they finished with their own song, she then watered them happily.

Singing Plants: Give a little 'cause ya
Care a little and ya
Try a little and it starts to show
Growing quick is easy when you just
Get some room to grow

"Wow! Singing plants! I didn't know that they're very alive! This is amazing!" Twilight commented happily. She turned to Shorty, who is at the corner, checking on bags of fertilizers. She called out, "Shorty, you need to see this!"

"Busy, Twilight! I'm sure you can handle it well," Shorty said firmly while busy using his Magical Detector to scan on the bags. He hummed in concern while looking at his detector, "Why would this thing keep insisting that geode is around here? Something's not right."

Twilight shrugged amusingly about Shorty missing his chance to see and study the talking and singing plants. Regardless, she continued singing and dancing while watering the plants happily and passionately. She even patted gently on them as well. Spike even nuzzled and befriended a rose in flower pot.

Twilight Sparkle: Starting small but growing taller

And maybe just a little more over there

The more water she gave to the plants, the more of them have come to life. They then sang and danced happily and passionately. As Twilight was watering some flower pots, a small yellow one pushed the watering can to pour some water on it. Shorty was busy using his Magical Detector to scan and search around the fertilizer bags, plants and trees, though he's having trouble with his scanner as it continued beeping loudly and wildly.

Twilight even noticed that some of the plants that she watered have slowly grown taller and bigger than before.

Singing Plants: Give a little 'cause ya

Growing big is easy when you just
Get a little bit more!

Twilight was shocked and worried of what she saw. The plants continued growing taller and bigger due to her watering can pouring water on them. She even noticed that more of plants were rudely nudging and demanding her to water them more. Growing worried and scared, Twilight nervously and reluctantly watered them.

Shorty was busy checking on his Magical Detector, wondering why it beeping out loud and even showing the scanner that geode is around here. He grew frustrated and annoyed with his scanner. He even tried to bang and shook it hard, making sure it function properly.

Twilight called, "Shorty! I need help now!"

"What could you possibly need my-!" Shorty asked in annoyance as he turned to the front. He was interrupted when he found more plants were dancing and singing. Some of them have even grew into more humanoid. He yelped in shock and concern, "What the heck?! What happen?!"

Twilight gulped in concern, "I don't know. I was just watering them, and the next thing I know, they come to alive and started singing!"

"But how?!" Shorty asked in concern. He then looked at his Magical Detector and the plants. He gasped, "Oh no! The plants are being controlled and influenced by the geode!"

"Where is it?!" Twilight asked in concern.

And just before Shorty could answer, the first female reddish humanoid plant-like with giant lip and greenish leaf-like long hair grabbed and was drinking the watering can. Reddish horn-like flower stolen and grabbed it for drinking. Twilight quickly grabbed her watering can at once. She slowly back away from it.

Plant Soloist 1: Gettin' a little isn't quite enough to satisfy

Plant Soloist 2: I'd like a little more, please
Can you help me? I'm a-dyin'!

The humanoid cactus singing out loud, scaring Shorty off. Slowly backing away from the singing cactus, he suddenly got grabbed and hugged tightly and passionately by a humanoid fatty bushy tree with leaves. Feeling suffocated by the tree's hug, he grunted and struggled to escape the grip. Luckily, Spike jumped and took a big bite on tree's trunk, freeing Shorty out.

Cactus: Please, I'll be your best friend You can tell me all your woes

Tree: Shove over just a little bit I need some room to grow!

Twilight, Shorty and Spike did their best to distanced and moved away from the singing plants. They're becoming aggressive and demanding for watering can to water them more. And at the same time, they're becoming taller and bigger. They even tried to grab and use the watering can, causing some fight between them or even pushing and knocking Twilight and her friends. Twilight managed to keep the watering can close to her.

Plant Soloist 3: Come on, Twilight, help me out
I'm thirsty, I need love

Plant Soloist 4: Over here, I need some

Plant Soloist 3: Hey, bud, you don't gotta shove!

Managed to escape the singing plants, Twilight and her friends got rammed and knocked on each other hard. They grunted in pain while recovering and getting up. They then found themselves surround by more plants. They continued singing and demanding the watering can to water them. They even tried to grab and pull it away from Twilight.

Singing Plants: Help us, Twilight, we need more
That's the water we adore
Just a little extra taste
Don't let a droplet go to waste

The singing plants continued singing wildly and aggressively while trying to get the watering can. Twilight, Shorty and Spike became scared and worried.

"If we don't do something, they're gonna tear everything and us apart!" Shorty exclaimed in concern, "We have to find the geode, shutting its power down!"

"But where?! Where could it be hiding?!" Twilight asked in concern.

"I don't know! This stupid detector isn't helping me out!" Shorty snapped angrily as he threw down his device to the ground hard. He then noticed it continued beeping out loudly when he was pointing at Twilight's watering can. He gasped, "Of course! Damn it! It was right under our nose!"

"My watering can?! The geode is inside it?!" Twilight asked in disbelief.

"We'll talk about it later! We need to cut of the source now!" Shorty exclaimed in concern.

Twilight grunted, trying to pull the watering can away from the vines, "I'm trying! What do we do?!"

The vine grabbed and held a grip on Spike's body, making the dog whined, "TWILIGHT! HELP!"

Shorty hissed while thinking of a way to solve the problem. He then looked up and found the sprinkle. He activated and armed with his Flame Volley Blaster. He aimed at the sprinkler.

"I'm hope I'm right!" Shorty exclaimed in fear and concern.

Shorty fired his Flame Volley Blaster at the sprinkler, causing it spread and rained its water upon both plants and watering can. All of the magical plants have transformed and returned to normal. Spike dropped and fell on Shorty's hands. All of them were very wet. They sighed in relief that they have stopped the plants from growing.

"That was close. How did you know that it would work?" Twilight asked in surprise.

Shorty sighed, "No. Just going with my guts. Since the watering can was contaminated with magic power, the only way to counter it is to overflow the watering can's and plants with our world water. That should return to normal for now."

Twilight nodded in understanding. She then looked at the watering can, where she found a geode inside. She tried to take it but get shocked and electrocuted for the moment. She passed it to Shorty. After taking a hold on watering can, he took out the brownish colored geode out.

"Who would have thought that a geode like this could cause a problem?" Spike asked in shock.

Shorty sighed, "Well, this is Elemental Geode of Wood. It gives lives and heals everything especially healing and growing the plants."

Twilight groaned a bit, "Hopefully, the other Elemental Geode don't cause much problem. Three more lefts - Earth, Ice and Metal."

"Oh, and Twilight and Shorty?" Principal Celestia called as she arrived to garden house. She smiled, "Just be careful not to over-water the plants. Have fun!"

Principal Celestia happily left the garden house at once. Twilight, Shorty and Spike were disbelief of what they saw.

"She's kidding, right?" Spike asked in disbelief.
