S3E9: Aw... Baby Turtles (Mystic Version)

Another day on the beach as Flare Tiger, Icy, Fluttershy and Cutie Mark Crusaders were having another relaxation yet fun day. Both Fluttershy and Icy were relaxing on the beach chair. Flare Tiger and Cutie Mark Crusaders were playing volley ball. Rainbow’s pet – Tank was sleeping peacefully and quietly since Scootaloo told her that she will look after it.

As everyone was enjoying their relaxing beach day, Fluttershy heard a distressed cry in her ears. She gasped in concern as she got up at once. Everyone stopped their activities and turned to her, wondering what spooked her.

“Is everything okay, Fluttershy?” Icy asked in concern.

“I don't think so. I hear crying.” Fluttershy admitted in concern. With the help of her geode, she listened and sensed carefully of what kind of animals that gave distressed cry. She continued in concern, “From a bunch of baby sea turtles. They just hatched and are trying to find their way to the water. But they're lost.”

“Oh, no!” Icy exclaimed in concern.

“Oh. Those poor baby turtles,” Sweetie Belle said in concern.

“Ohhh... How could I ever find a bunch of teeny, tiny turtles on this great, big beach?!” Fluttershy asked in concern.

“Dug the sand out?” Jade suggested playfully.

“Yeah! It would be quick for us to find the baby tortoises!” Scootaloo exclaimed happily.

“Turtle, not tortoise!” Nyx corrected Scootaloo.

“Is there a difference?” Scootaloo asked in annoyance.

Apple Bloom flicked on Scootaloo’s head, “It’s different, genius. Turtles and Tortoises got different legs and different place to live, duh.”

“So, how are we exactly gonna find them?” Icy asked in concern.

Scootaloo spotted Tank was still sleeping. She picked him up and suggested, “Maybe Tank could help us?”

Everyone groaned by Scootaloo’s ignorance to their explanation, prompted Jade to whack on her forehead. She yelped in pain while rubbing it.

“What was that for?” Scootaloo asked in annoyance.

“We just explained a minute ago, doofus. Tank and the baby sea turtles are not the same,” Jade said in annoyance.

Flare Tiger hummed thoughtfully, “But they’re somewhat related species. I mean, they’ve got same bone structures, shells and lived on both land and water. Plus, they’ve got some kind of family instinct. So, Tank should able to find them, right?”

Fluttershy gave some thoughts as well, “Maybe… But it's worth a try.”

“Alright, everyone! Roll to the Rescue!” Nyx cheered happily, prompted her friends to cheer as well.

Flare Tiger picked and held Tank, acted like a compass and gave the firm order, “Lead the way, Tank!”

Tank saluted firmly. Fluttershy and her friends marched out as they followed the tortoise’s head movement, pointing the direction.

They spent an hour or two of searching for the baby sea turtles. Eventually, they’ve arrived and passed by the large rocks. Just moving behind the large rocks, Tank spotted the baby sea turtles digging and emerging out from the sand. He quickly pointed at them.

“There they are!” Icy called out.

Fluttershy’s Team halted at once, looking at the sea turtles. One of them emerged out from the sand. It gave a gentle sneeze, making them awed happily for looking at how cute they are.

“You did it, Tank!” Flare Tiger exclaimed happily as she put the tortoise down.

“So, what do we do now?” Sweetie Belle asked.

Fluttershy smiled as she answered while looking at the surroundings, “We just need to help them get to the water safely. But also, we need to deal with some obstacles like over this sand dune, past those rocks and crabs, beyond that abandoned sandcastle city, and around that dangerous shipwreck!”

“That sounds easy enough,” Scootaloo commented confidently as she was about to grab the sea turtle, “We'll just carry them to safety.”

“We can’t!” Fluttershy protested in concern, stopping Scootaloo from grabbing the baby sea turtle. She continued, “They have to make the journey on their own so they can imprint and return to this beach when they lay their own eggs someday.”

Scootaloo groaned, “That’s gonna take it too long! Not to mention, they’re very slow.”

“Well, not if you tried to scare them off. You can’t rush things, you know,” Jade scolded Scootaloo.

“So, what’s next?” Apple Bloom asked.

“I’ll be taking the baby sea turtles,” A cocky and arrogant voice spoke up. Everyone looked up at the top of sand dune. They found Tech, who worn blackish swimming trunks with smiley faces. He scoffed, “Since no one wants to take them.”

“TECH?!” Everyone exclaimed in disbelief.

“What the heck are you doing here?!” Apple Bloom demanded angrily.

Nyx groaned, “What are you up to?!”

Tech smirked cockily, “Isn’t it obviously? I’m gonna make them turtle soup.”

Everyone gasped in shock and disbelief. Icy groaned, “You can’t do that! Don’t you realize that sea turtle are endangered species and you want to eat them?!”

Tech scoffed while crossed his arms, “So what?! Animals are stupid and endangered species. They’re for us to eat, duh. So, why save them?”

Fluttershy gasped in shock before gave angry looks, “First of all, the animals are living beings like us! They’re worth to be saved and treated equally! Secondly, even if some of us enjoyed eating meat, we will never go that far when some species are endangered species! Finally, I won’t let you take and eat the babies! You’ll have toi go through me!”

“All of us!” Flare Tiger declared firmly, along with the rest of her friends.

Tech laughed out amusingly and madly, “Yeah, right. Like you girls are so sissy enough to take me.” He cleared his throat as he pushed the red button of his remote controller, summoning the squadron of Techbots. He continued, “Now step aside and let me get my turtle soup!”

Fluttershy and her team remained firm and determined as they refused to move aside. Icy spoke up, “You already heard her, punk. She said ‘no’!”

Tech scoffed, “Fine by me. Techbots, attack!”

As commanded, Techbots charged and attacked Fluttershy’s Team. Icy quickly summoned her Walls of Ice to block and deflect the attacks.

Looking at the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Fluttershy gave the order, “Girls! Remove everything! Protect the baby turtles! Make sure they have to reach the shore!”

Understanding that Fluttershy and her friends are buying time, Cutie Mark Crusaders nodded firmly and determinedly, “Got it!”

Cutie Mark Crusaders headed off at once to deal with the obstacles. Fluttershy, Icy and Flare Tiger charged and engaged Tech and his Techbots.

Using her Animal Ruby, Fluttershy used the spiritual power of Squid’s slippery, Crab’s claws and Sea Turtle’s defense to fight them. Icy used her Icing Skated Blades to fight them, along with firing her Ice Beam and Frozen Shards at them on sky. Using her Time Spell for halting the time, Flare Tiger punched and kicked them off. They have defeated and destroyed all of Techbots. They turned and glared at Tech, who laughed nervously before panicking and running off with his life.

And at the same time, Cutie Mark Crusaders removed the obstacles as quickly as they can. Scootaloo and Jade dug out the sand dune and also shoveling the crabs out. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Nyx took down the boulders one-by-one as fast as they can. Scootaloo and Jade knocked down the sand castle. Sweetie Belle easily removed the toy ship.

“Good job, girls. The path is clear.” Fluttershy commented happily. Cutie Mark Crusaders giggled happily about the compliment. She then looked at the shore. She smiled, “Go, baby turtles! Be free!”

Everyone waited for the baby sea turtles to arrive and entered into the sea. But nothing happened. To their shock and surprise, the baby sea turtles were nowhere to be found.

“Um… Where’s the adorable tiny turtles?” Icy asked in concern and surprise.

“Wait a sec! Where’s Tank?!” Scootaloo asked in fear.

Fluttershy and her team returned to the site of baby sea turtle hatched and emerged out from the sand. They found the site is empty and no sign of them.

Sweetie Belle hissed, “Oh boy… This is not good…”

“Hey, guys! Look! The trail!” Jade exclaimed while pointed at the trail on sand.

Fluttershy’s Team followed the trail, passing by the tall grasses. And to their surprise and amazement, they’re looking at Tank leading the baby sea turtles to another side of shores.

“Wow! Tank’s leading the babies to another shore! He knew there’s gonna be serious fight and danger!” Apple Bloom exclaimed in surprise.

“Smart Tortoise,” Flare Tiger commented.

Fluttershy’s Team arrived at the shore, meeting up with Tank and the baby sea turtles. Fluttershy kneeled down before the tortoise.

“Well done, Tank!” Fluttershy congratulated Tank. Some of baby sea turtle approached and nuzzled him She giggled, “They think Tank's their mommy.”

“That is so cute,” Nyx and Sweetie Belle commented.

After saying the goodbyes to Tank, the baby sea turtles entered and swam off into the sea. One of them waved goodbye to him. The tortoise smiled proudly and happily before shedding tears a bit as he’s gonna miss them and prayed for them to live happily and peacefully in the sea.
