Wut? Why did he have a right to know that? Frankly, how is that any of his business period beyond criminal background checking (which normally would be done BEFORE hiring someone)? In fact, him owning that company, and how many Night Security they've gone through, he HAS to know what those robots are doing to people! The fact that he's not telling Spike is highly illegal (unless laws are very much so different there than they are here) so long as it wasn't something spoken about (and signed off on) in the papers Spike signed the previous night (in which case Spike dying or becoming injured etc is entirely on him, don't you just LOVE corporate wavers?!). Granted it's entirely possible no one died or were harmed, period....but then if they didn't die or weren't harmed, or were in no danger at all...why'd his predecessors quit?

For the most part I'm enjoying this, but this is starting to feel a bit rushed to the point where it's not making much sense anymore. I get that you want to add more depth to this version of Spike, and I certainly appreciate the idea of it given that he IS different from our favorite pint-sized pal in the show, but so far it's just raising more questions and plot-holes on top of the ones you've laid to rest:

Why did the lady working for the school just hand over the documents and footage just like that? Were there no procedures to be followed first? And why did she seem scared?

Who taught Spike and gang how to fight? It obviously wasn't his father, and since the school jocks (of all people) were no match for 3 opponents (martial artists not withstanding), this implies that it's not something taught to everyone in Dragon culture. I suppose we'll find out later, in any case.

Given that Spike's father is a drunken prick, I'm assuming that Spike's mother is either:
A. Dead Disney-style, which is why his father became a drinker in the first place.
B. his mother left his father, BECAUSE of his drinking and general-prick nature but if there was a court-procedure couldn't get the kids (or else couldn't afford to support them).
C. Isn't around very often due to work, and doesn't know what happened to Spike yet.
D. Was also a crap-parent, and didn't care either.
Whatever the reason, she's never mentioned.

Given that Spike is used to his cyborg prosthetics and has enough control over them to treat them as if he were born with them and can jump like an anime Ninja AND can kick like a truck without killing the ones he kicks, either Garble is a MASTER of not only engineering but also COMPLETELY understands programming as well as interpreting the signals the brain sends into a code for a computer to translate into data-commands (I guess one could say magic was used instead of computer tech, but so far we've not seen anyone use it, and Spike made no mention of that in his explanation to Fancy Pants, and the animatronics are robots, not golems) or else Spike has been out of school for the last 10 to 15 years (or longer) and has had time for Garble to learn through trial and error and has altered and adjusted them accordingly.
Either one is possible if we follow the assumption that Dragons in this 'verse can live to be centuries old, and if the second is the case in this then of course he'd be able to afford caring for Spike until the here-and-now because he'd be making(potentially LOTS of) money as his research leads into practical limb-replacement application instead of only robotics, but this isn't stated.

I guess I should have rote this in, but, Spike figured he had to know because Fancy is his boss. and for the previous workers, their murders were covered up. This will be explained and expanded upon futher in future chapters.

I amaze myself with my stupidity. Spike does indeed have a tail, he just keep's it out of harms way most of the time.

Well It wasn't really rushed, but I get that feeling when I reread my work also and I'm not sure how to fix that. As for here on out, in the story the center of attention will go from Spike and his past, to Spike and his relation ship with the animatronics. Its going to be a Lot more simpler here on out. Also, Miss. Silica was afraid of getting her and her whole school beat up again, and they fear Spike's name.

believe it or not, these two things are related. As for the plot points for Spike's mother, They are all true to an extant. This will be the last big point to Spike history in Night 3. I also hinted at her a little,

You have no idea. I will try to not give to many spoilers, but, you are on the right track with what happened to Garble. I think It was stated in the story (maybe it wasn't, I'm not sure) But for Spikes legs they were to a robot for a project for school, and they were attached to Spike. Lets just say, Garbles carer is only beginning.
