A nice fic created out of nothing. 10/10

When we have nothing to do, we write about characters who have nothing to do.

Thanks!

Pretty much. It's a good way to take your mind off things.

But the sun refused to yield in its eons old task, and she knew the welcome warmth of her covers would resemble a most unpleasant oven before long.

So that is why beds are traditionally placed under windows!
Smart!

I expected some chaos to come about. Come to think about it, I'm sure Discord could help her pass the time.

7709198 Indeed. Evil isn't it?

This was a pleasant waste of time.

This was a waste of time. :trixieshiftright:
But it was enjoyable none the less.

Glad to see so many people amused by silly nothingness.

Why was she considering the Everfree forest and Zecora's if going there for something else was cancelled due to a rainshower? I might have missed some detail.

Twilight sets her schedule aside, and discovers there's a world beyond, with a glimpse into how an economy works.

A very nice and instructive story. One could learn much from Twilight today...forget the routine and look at the life around you. It's out there if you take a moment to find it.

The idea was that Twilight would go to get some tea, but Zecora wouldn't be home before the rain started.

It's always nice to smell the roses once in a while.

Thanks! Glad you liked it.

:rainbowderp: Did you just spell out the alphabet at the beginning of every paragraph?

Well played.

(In all seriousness, great story!)

This is a very good one-shot.

Yep! Every sentence actually, but I'm glad someone finally noticed. Glad you liked it!

A nice little meditation on someone so regimented being faced with the anomaly of free time. Very appropriate to have the paragraphs alphabetized, given the circumstances. In all, nice work.

Indeed, what to do with a free day if you're used to always be doing something.
A lovely little read. Nothing like a good, calm slice of life to relax

I quite enjoyed this! It is fun doing the abc thing when one doesn't know what to do. I've done it a few times in stories, not on here but other stories. Good little read.

Yep! Always good to get the creative juices flowing somehow. Glad you liked it.

7711026 Is your profile pick really common? Or do I just see you everywhere?:derpyderp1:

7713020 I made the pic myself, so unless some people started using it without me knowing so, you probably have luck of running into me everywhere :rainbowlaugh:

But the sun refused to yield in its eons old task, and she knew the welcome warmth of her covers would resemble a most unpleasant oven before long.

And this is why my room faces west.

(Such brilliance is the awe of the highest of philosophers and scholars!) :derpyderp2:

she hadn’t even considered the microbial cultures currently incubating down in the basement—with complete cellular divisions occurring every fifteen seconds!

!!!!

That's exceedingly fast... I could make use of such microbes in The Plan. Yes.... quite useful indeed when given a few certain plasmids.. :trixieshiftright:

I do like to sometimes point out that a great story need not have, as its conflict, a titanic multi-verse-ending god villain. Indeed, those are rarely all that compelling, as powergaming can be defeated in every case simply by powergaming harder.

I've found that many wonderful little stories exist in just the simplest moments, when one isn't seemingly battling anything more complex than a few stubborn weeds in the garden.

And then you NUKE those little weedy bastards from orbit! :pinkiecrazy:

7725537
Hm. Might be a story idea in that. Princess Twilight mulling over whether or not to allow Roseluck and the other flower ponies to use her Orbital Friendship Cannon for their gardening.

It's not like she built it to not fire it...:trixieshiftright:

7725579 *huge mushroom cloud blooms over a section of the NJ Pine Barrens* Story idea? Anyway, got rid of that Bermuda Grass at last! :pinkiecrazy:

7710803 had to scroll back and see for myself

I reviewed this story as part of Read It Later #63.

My review can be found here.

A nice simple story. Thank you for posting it.
