There is little more exciting than waking up and finding Sensation having been updated overnight, then reading all of it on the train to work, accompanied by barely contained squees of excitement and a broad grin. Suffice to say the latest addition once more did not disappoint.

More than ever it's proven to be a roller coaster of cute and sweet heartwarming moments in watching Braeburn and Soarin' growing closer and more comfortable with each other, perhaps a bit bolder too, combined with anger, desire and disappointment. The latter both in the character's expectations from each other and in cute moments being suddenly interupted by third parties.

Brae becomes all the more interesting as a character. More adorable in his enthusiasm and opening up to Soar. He is also gaining significantly more depth and beomming more and more this generous sweethearts, using his intelligence and resourcefullness, in his selflessness manner, if only for a desire to help the greater good, regardless of how poorly others might treat him. Which makes him having been or still being treated poorly all the more impactful, for lack of a better term..

And once again the choice to have it written from first person view and approached as a retelling of events has proven to be a powerful tool in both portraying the emotions, experiences and thoughts from Soarin's point of view, getting a great honest impression of his motivations and feelings, but it also shows Soarin's growth as a character during and even after the story, commenting on his own actions in retrospect. This has a tendency of softening what might otherwise potentially be considered harsh and adds an additional layer of likeableness to Soarin', showing him as both a flawed character that the reader can identify with, but also displaying a means of overcomming such shortcomings or learning from it as well as reminding the reader again, in subtle manner, that the story itself is being retold in a different time.

You`re a cruel writer you know, hinting at curious things of interest and then, for the sake of the story perhaps, don`t reveal them. First the whipped cream incident and now a drawing for Streak.

The M/M Shipping group has a whole subfolder of Soarin x Braeburn stuff, and Storm Butt has written a lot of the more famous M/M stories on here. You could always give those places a try. Just don't go abandoning 'Sensation' in all the excitement.

I've been terribly craving gay romance stories that isn't just pure, senseless rutting, and let me tell you, I think I found it. I'm only on chapter 4, but holy CRAP, this is amazing, I'm practically buzzing with happiness that someone suggested this for me to read. To be honest, I never really like the whole Soarin'xBraeburn ship, but I'm nearly 100% positive that I'll enjoy at least this story. I can't wait to see how it continues and how it ends. Braeburn made grits with fruit and spices, and I probably don't have to tell you it was freaking amazing! It was creamy and tasted like heaven. It slid down my throat, warm and sticky and salty and filling. I couldn't get enough, and it was even better knowing it came from him. I wanted him to keep feeding me more. I would have sucked it up all day.
