Took me a while to get to this. I'm super busy right now and I had a pair of graduation parties to go to.

Wow, this relationship has a lot of problems, I can feel the train wreck coming. A big part of me is hoping that this somehow works out, but I don't think that's going to happen.

But I'm not a good pony. I'm not a good coltfriend. If I was, I would have seen the red flags. I would have realized how hard this was on him, and I would have stopped worrying about my own fucking desires and made the right choice. I would have stayed up all night, agonizing over how to make it right and asking myself the question I already knew the answer to. I would have seen the big picture.
But I didn't. Instead, I fell asleep thinking about how to plant a tree.

To be fair, he's drunk.

I feel really bad for both of them. It was really hard for Braeburn to leave behind everything he's worked for and loved, and even harder trying to adjust to a completely different environment that's just so foreign to him with the media still on his tail. And after trudging through possibly the lowest point in his life, alienating his friends and coworkers Soarin finally found someone who made him feel worth again, who gave him a reason to continue and just feel happy again. I can see why he's so reluctant to let him go.

That was...really hard to go through...

Thanks for letting me know. That's... pretty much what I'd hoped for, actually. I have, unfortunately, seen how much damage alcoholism can do to families and relationships, and I wanted to give it an honest and fair representation of how painful it can be.

Another great chapter! I really do feel bad for Braeburn and his struggle to adjust to this new life. When you're worried and have a lot on your mind, being super drunk doesn't always help. I've experienced the same feelings Brae is feeling. Also the same experience of having way too much alcohol as well. That is never fun. lol

I just can't help but feel a bit sad seeing the beginning of what seems to be their end. Still, as much as I love happy rainbow stories, I love stories that really tug on your feelings. It's like a fatal attraction but with feels.

Thanks, Pelzi! I've certainly been there, too. First-hand research for stories isn't always fun. Hope you find the end of the story satisfying, no matter what happens. I'll do my best to make it so.
