I have a feeling that Braeburn was rather reluctantly forced out of the closet, possibly by Bronze. That would explain the contradiction between his out status and his behavior. Poor guy. I get what Soarin meant, but like he realized, it wasn't the best advice to give 'im.

I was going to write this a few times ever since the chapter we learned Soarin had a mirror in his closet: an entire essay could be written about the theme of reflections. I bet my English teachers wouldn't have expected me to want to write an essay about gay ponies.

This chapter was...hard, to read. Happy, sad, happy, sad. I feel for both of them, and it hurts a little.
