wow, that was a roller coaster for emotions. I love Soarin trying to bake. 2 cups of flour lol.

Man, the bottom of my stomach nearly dropped out when Brae said he was going back home. Even though Soarin managed to convince him to go to Cloudsdale with him, I have a feeling that will soon turn sour. Braeburn is a stallion who seems to cherish his roots, and he has nothing in Cloudsdale except for Soarin. As usual, looking forward to what you have in store.

I... don't think I want to read any more chapters.

This chapter had me smiling constantly. It contained everything I look for in romance fiction. Humor, tons of cuteness, authentic portrayals of love and affection, even some smaller storylines resolving into ever deeper character development. It was cute, sweet and far too easy to get lost in and the moment Braeburn spoke up, I realized I hadn't been paying attention to the quality of writing or anything, I was only considering the characters and how much I didn't want him to say it. And then it ended, on a note where I really really really want it to be, as I fear it can only go downhill from there. Like JBL, I fear Brae couldn't be happy in Cloudsdale.

"And we were happy."

4 words that almost drove me to tears of joy.

It's always that frustrating double edged sword. I know there's more to the story and I don't want these characters and this world I've grown to love to come to a close, but this, I don't want to take that away from them.

Congrats on writing what will likely be my favorite chapter out of most every story I've read to date.

Thanks for sticking with this story for the long haul, guys. There is so, so, so much I want to say in response to both of you, but, well... I promise I'll make it worth the wait.

So I'fe finally gotten back to reading this (yaaaay) and I'm on Chapter 24 right now, even though I've already read it before. Just catching up and decided to re-read that one. But gosh, I don't know what currently happens it the chapters past 24, but I just realised how heartbreaking every good moment of the story is. Because you see Soarin all alone in the present, but he explains what happened in the past, all the things that would've made this relationship so perfect, like him first meeting Braeburn, admiring his beauty and his generally adoring personality, feeling awful about leaving him behind, before chasing him all over to find his cute, golden cowboy, doing more work than anyone would've done just to make it up to someone. Soarin learns about Bronze (that filthy shit) and what he did to Braeburn. Soarin then does his best to make Braeburn feel special, loved, like he doesn't have to ever feel scared or lost or hurt ever again, and that his blue birdie was always there for him. They both pour their hearts out to each other, revealing deep, dark secrets to each other, make each other laugh, and do ridiculous things for each other. Soarin meets Braeburn's parents, gets to know them, how they felt about what was going on with their son. He even helped his butter butt coltfriend make amends with his parents, as Braeburn wants Soarin to do the same with his mom.

But to think that all this love went to waste is just very painful. It's already bad enough that Braeburn isn't holding Soarin, nuzzling his chest anymore. But I swear, Vivid, if Brae left Soarin for Bronze...

*trembles angrily at you, mumbling gibberish

So the next chapter I'll be reading is called "Four Words."

Those better be some four vey nice, sweet, tender, romantic, loving, and adorable words!

This chapter was just so much all at once.

It made me feel so happy and scared and sad. I can't even think about what to say except for...

Wow...

And ouch...

And from what I've read, I'm deeply scared that after this chapter, Soarin's and Braeburn's relationship will be... A bit artificial. With all the tension and pain and desperation, I can only feel that they'll only be with eac other, now not from genuine love, but Soarin's need for someones warmth, and Braeburn's inability to want to go through with leaving Soarin, out of not wanting to hurt him, and nostalgia. And I can only dream that when Soarin said he'd gotten that hat on the worst day of his life, that this wasn't that day. And I have a portion of experience to understand this, as well. Since I've had a breakup some time ago, and was semi-recently back together witn him, but it just doesn't feel as attached anymore. But I hope this isn't the case with SoarBurn.

But I really really really hope it doesn't come to that, and things will work out, no matter the obvious outcome of Soarin's present loneliness. But I'll have to wait if I want to find out...

...And that's not going to be easy. But do what you will, and I'll be sure to read the next chapter once it comes out!

Boy that was not what I expected. It went down a really sad road before doing a complete u-turn. Very well written, although if you’d still like feedback I get a little bit of a sense you were gonna pull the plot into chaotic sadness but couldn’t bring yourself to do it. Cute tho <3

Well, this definitely feels like the climax of their story, that means it can only go down from here.... God, this chapter was great though.

Wow can't believe I just finished the whole fic; really, what an amazing story and im so glad that this is the end ...yeah this is the end and nothing bad happens no way no how....
