C'est la vie, my friend. Same as this story, which might also explain the less than warm reception. Some peeps want their pony fics to contain less of reality. This prolly hits a few too close to home.
But, like I said, it made me feel. I think, in my crazy philosophy at any rate, that evoking feeling is the true purpose of art. That makes this story quite exceptional in my mind.
Roseluck makes for a strangely good melancholy character. I rather liked this. These kinds of pieces are often overlooked but really well-crafted. Thank you for sharing.

It's always a treat to read a story that paints such vivid images. Bonus points considering how short this story was. Roseluck is often portrayed as either a love interest or a whacky conspiracy theorist/professional rabble rouser. It was also nice to have something different.
