(This story takes place AFTER the events of mario and luigi dream team.)
When villains usually die in mario and luigi games, They end up in hell or someplace as worse.
Even though he had his ass royally kicked by Mario and Luigi, Antasma has returned from the grave for vengeance.
The one problem though is, He is no longer in Mario's universe, But in the My Little Ponyverse instead.
Regardless of his surroundings, Antasma still seeks out to conquer Equestria, I wonder how this will turn out?

Good so far, however I have some problems. Also...

Really, "Scratch her"? More like tear her into ribbons! This is the largest overstatement I have heard in a long time.
Also, there is no way that, after such a short time, Antasma could have...
A) Caused that much damage in such a short amount of time, especially due to the fact that he was battling Twilight for a good amount of time
B) Knocked an entire CITY off of a mountain, especially one large enough to be the capitol of an entire nation with a gigantic castle in it. To do that he would have to get far, far more nightmare energy then he would possibly be able to obtain from one town in less then one day, especially with the fact that he would have burned all of it creating the giant floaty castle (which he also didn't have the energy or ability to make without the power of the Dream Stone). Also, he wouldn't have any power when he arrived in Equestria beyond what Sombra gave him. But Sombra would not be able to restore any of Antasma's powers (unless, of course, Sombra showed Antasma his greatest fears. I doubt he has any fears, seeing how he controls fear and hatred). So, sword thingy in hand, he walks into town shooting a bolt of electricity that he might have been able to make from the power of the munchies that he made while using his fear-sword-thingy which he couldn't get any energy from because they weren't asleep while somehow using the powers he doesn't have the energy to put some people to sleep at which point he starts to get a little bit of energy under the assumption Luna didn't cure them of their nightmares.
In other words, after writing the first few parts, I found some more problems, which led to more problems, at which point I entered full blown lecture mode. Sorry about that
. Again, good so far, I await more.

Point taken, but still! Quite a few loopholes with no explination. Also, Mario and Luigi fought Antasma AFTER their wishing spree. Any abilities would have been seen in the fight, and Antasma was building up tons of energy for a very long time before the battle.

I have some ideas (note I did not read your story yet)
Antasma, due to his betrayal by bowser, is much more genre savvy, probably dangerously genre savvy and thus is more cunning, better at planning and will always keep his guard on when allying with someone, (he does NOT want to die again) is a bit of a combat pragmatic. Still call himself the bat king and use fear as one his primary advantages,
at night antasma transform in his bat form to collect power from the nightmares of ponies, if no nightmare is found antasma will go into a good dream and turn it into hell, every time antasma feeds on nightmares the victim always witness a sort of bat like shadow,
My guess he eventually absorb power from a nightmare celestial had, causing celestial to become paranoid as antasma continuously disturb her. Causing her to one day flip out, antasma probably has an hideout in a sort of enormous cave in wich he is the king of the bat ponies, (maybe he has an adoptive daughter?)
Maybe he ally himself with the changelings to prepare another attack
Like always the bat king still possess his ability to travel to the dream world,
I think maybe a one point he tries to eat diamond tiara but spit her out because she taste "a rotten spoiled (CENSORED)"

At night antasma goes into ponyvil and feed on the nightmares of ponies (he absorb power trough the nightmare). If no nightmare are currently happening antasma goes into a good dream and turn it into hell, every victim claim they see a bat like shadow in their nightmares, eventually antasma torments celestial by turning her perfect dream into total hell, this cause celestial to be paranoid and twilight goes apeshit,
Antasma use fear as of his primary advance and sometime will fight dirty, "I do not fight to make my enemies happy about losing" like always he still can open portals to the dream world.
His hideout is in an enormous cave in wich he rules as the king of the bat ponies living in it, he probably created a castle in it with his power, (maybe he has an adoptive daughter? A filly, the only being antasma is kind and shows love to,)
Antasma often summons a ghostly song out of nowhere (his battle theme) when fighting to cause discomfort of fear in his opponent,
My guess is antasma continually trolls twilight by asking her loophole question or questions that does not compute.

Antasma, if I was you I'd have told my strongest commander at them not throw the the 3rd the 2nd then 1st. Classic mistake very villains make wich lead up to their doom.
