I always see these badly-written and insanely autistic chess game fics and everyone acts like they're the greatest things ever and they all get featured. This is all a big metaphor for how shitty I think those stories actually are.
I'm assuming that the dislikes are from people in the actual chess game group who were expecting something super serious. I did submit this to their group and make a thread asking them to read it, after all

At the same time though, some of them are rather well-written and don't feature the dumb brony who starts taking levels in badass overnight. As such, I neither hate you for this mockery nor do I joyously uphold it as a great comedy to show that people need to stop creating fantasies.
