As another author once said: 'A cliché is just what would more than likely happen over the other possibilities.' I can't remember who had said that, but I remember them explaining it in a comment that stretched down the page quite a bit. I just butchered it down into one sentence. Anyway, I can't wait to see who finds him/sees him first out of our main characters.
I just know that something will happend that make him having to go to Equestria...
News will spread quite fast about a new alien being working in the gryphon homeland. Celestia will probably want to meet the human as soon as possible when she hears of the news.

As to the rushed bit.... Maybe the fact that you had abit of time skipping going on? I still think this was handled very well cause you didn't just tell us, "Two months have passed.".
You showed us what happened in those two months. Granted a highlights version but still good.
