Pharynx is forced by his brother to take Ocellus to a carnival. He discovers that the experience is unbearable. Will he make it through the day?

Thorax uniting most of Changeling kind with peace and love was a powerful blow on Chrysalis's way of life. And what's more, Celestia's two pupils, Twilight and Sunset, are making revenge and any evildoing incredibly difficult.

So now, backed into a corner with only a few drones left loyal to her, she is going to make her final gambit on achieving her revenge.

She's gonna try rizzing Celestia up.

Thorax was always considered a nuisance to the Hive. He was useless, he wasn’t Changeling enough, and so he was shunned.

Eventually, his brother was forced to ask him to leave.

Now, it’s Pharynx’s turn, and it’s put both of the brothers in each other’s hooves.

“Hey Pharynx?” Thorax asked, trotting up to his brother’s nest and nudging him.

“What wimp?” Pharynx asked, opening a lavender eye and looking at his brother.

“Why is mom our only parent?”

“Huh?” Pharynx raised his head.

“All the other nymphs have a mom and a dad. How come we don’t have a dad?”

One conversation over twenty years ago can do a lot. Soon after the anniversary of Chrysalis' defeat, Thorax and Pharynx begin to question...where's their father? After a little while of searching, they think they've found a lead. But one problem still remains...because deep down...Pharynx still isn't sure if finding their dad will fix anything...and if they do find him...will Thorax still need him?

This takes place in the future. Both characters are adults.

Thorax and Pharynx get invited to visit the Crystal Empire, and unsurprisingly, there’s snow in the area. Shenanigans ensue.

Leading the hive is a role Thorax fell into, but as more and more changelings look up to him they consider him a replacement for their former Queen. Now they want to make it official, but Thorax isn’t so sure. Perhaps his pony friends can give him advice on the matter.

So, here it is. My very first story. A lot of thanks to my beloved Foofy, who's been supporting and helping me from the very beginning.

The hive is in celebration. The invasion goes well, and soon all Equestria will surely fall. The victorious changeling soldiers will be covered in wealth and glory, and poor young Thorax fears the war will end before he can enlist.

It does not.

This story is a sequel to The King of Love Bugs

Following Princess Twilight's coronation, Celestia and Luna retire and take an extended vacation touring Equestria. The final stop on their trip takes them to see a dear friend, and to experience, once more, what it feels like to be a changeling in his hive.
