And I'll always be nearby to pull her back to the ground. Every day she shows me how to be more, and I show her how to be herself again. It's not perfect, but it works, and that's what matters.

Hearth's Warming. A time of joy and cheer, of generosity and love.
Not so much for the Apple Family, though.
Winter means the end of crop season, and money is hard to come by. The family, however, protects their pride by celebrating small... meaning not at all.
When Twilight and and the rest of the mane six find this out, they spring into action, wanting this Hearth's Warming to be one especially for them. One to remember forever.

This is another experimental-ish piece, working with symbolism, emotional development, complex scenes with lots of characters interacting, and world-building.
Of course, you can ignore all that and just read a story about tiny talking horses with magic powers. That's good, too.

Long ago, there was a unicorn filly who made paintings with her magic that were said to be life like. However, she lived with two parents who were always fighting and abusing each other much to her sorrow. One day, she made a painting of a scary figure she had seen in her dreams. She put the painting up in her special room, but the next day the family was never seen again.

Hundreds of years later, Scootaloo visits their old abandoned house and sees the painting for herself.
