MOVIE SPOILERS! Do not read ahead if you have not yet watched The Movie!

After the events in Canterlot, Twilight seeks to strengthen her new bond of friendship with Tempest Shadow. There’s something special Twilight is interested in, however. A certain something that’s being hidden beneath the armor. And she has to find out even if it takes some clever suggestion.

Like taking a bath!

Tempest Shadow was saved twice by Twilight Sparkle. First from The Storm King, then from punishment for what she had done under his command. It would stand to reason that she feels eternally grateful towards the princess of friendship and promises to do all she can to repay the kindness she has shown her.
But now Tempest, or is it Fizzle Pop, feels like she cannot fulfill that duty to Twilight, at least not while Twilight herself is around her.

I honestly put off watching the movie for so long because I didn't know how I would feel about it. It was better then I thought it would be, but I was most interested in the new character it added to the series. The prevalence of Tempest fics lately has led me to finally decide to do my own. I'm really interested in diving into a not as well defined character for once, so let me know what you think of my interpretation of her. Comments are always welcome, good or bad.

After a night out drinking, Sunset Shimmer wakes up in an unfamiliar bed. It takes some time and help from the woman next to her to reconstruct the events that had led her there.

Princess Cadance has been sleepwalking, and has no idea why. Twilight's Advanced Projects group has the perfect way to find out -- assuming Tempest can talk Cadance into going along with it...

In the process, Twilight and her friends learn a few things they didn't know about Cadance's past -- and find some unexpected mysteries as well...

But not Miss Harshwhinny. She is not a soldier, owns no factories, did not even know what a tank was before seeing a picture. She can learn, though, and she can see what is coming. And as the day of invasion draws near, she races against time to build for Equestria a weapon with a fighting chance.

Tempest Shadow’s mission was a success. At long last, princess Twilight Sparkle had been caught. Oh how powerless she was, trapped in that little cage.

But something was... off. Sparkle was alone when Tempest found her. She was crying rivers and sobbing loudly. Where had her brave, valued friends gone? Could it be? No. No, it can’t be.

Have the princess’ friends abandoned her?

Has friendship failed the Princess of Friendship herself?

This story is a sequel to Glimpses

It was supposed to be a simple day for Shining Armor. Take his daughter, Flurry Heart, and niece, Nyx, out to run some errands while his sister and wife handle preparations surrounding the Festival of Friendship. It was supposed to be a day of fun, relaxing activity. Yet, after the arrival of an invading army, the day would be anything but pleasant.

Can Shining rally the defenders of Canterlot to oppose Commander Tempest, if only to ensure he, Flurry Heart, and Nyx can escape? Or are they doomed to be captured and possibly turned to stone? 

No matter what happens, it’s a day neither Shining Armor nor Tempest Shadow will ever forget.
