Just a little short story I made while working on another fic. Not sure if I'll do more, but if there's enough interest I have a few ideas for where to go with it.

Edit: This was initially intended to be a short story where it ended after the first chap, but I've since added more at the request of commenters. I plan to continue adding chaps, but I guarantee nothing. Let me know what you think.

A unicorn, Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist), finds herself in the rain during her stay in the Crystal Empire. A crystal guard, Flash Sentry, stumbles upon her. Their little interaction reveals a lot about the hornless unicorn.

Note: No romance. Just classic friendship.

Reformed and returned from her world travels, Tempest Shadow, once feared commander of the Storm King's armies, now leads a peaceful life. At least, until she's asked a very important question by her charge for the evening. A new location in Ponyville needs to be reconnoitered. It promises action, adventure, and most importantly, a rekindling of her military life. However, if she's going to get back into the action, she'll do so in style.

And perhaps with a few explosions.

An out-of-work Tempest Shadow has opened an eye clinic near Ponyville. Nopony is sure if the doctorate hanging in her office is official or why her retinoscope features under-barrel attachment points. And most can agree that it’s best not to ask where she got a permit to perform retinal cryopexy.

Still, she seems to know what she’s doing, and all licenses to practice appear to have been filed using the correct format and proper guidelines. That makes everything okay. Right?

Tempest Shadow was saved twice by Twilight Sparkle. First from The Storm King, then from punishment for what she had done under his command. It would stand to reason that she feels eternally grateful towards the princess of friendship and promises to do all she can to repay the kindness she has shown her.
But now Tempest, or is it Fizzle Pop, feels like she cannot fulfill that duty to Twilight, at least not while Twilight herself is around her.

I honestly put off watching the movie for so long because I didn't know how I would feel about it. It was better then I thought it would be, but I was most interested in the new character it added to the series. The prevalence of Tempest fics lately has led me to finally decide to do my own. I'm really interested in diving into a not as well defined character for once, so let me know what you think of my interpretation of her. Comments are always welcome, good or bad.

Pinkie Pie takes a lot of things seriously, surprisingly. Party planning, being a good friend, and helping reform her marefriend chief among them. And like most everything else, she has a unique way of going about it.

Tempest Shadow is bored. She only knows how to fight, but it's a skill which Equestria doesn't need at the moment. So, she's just been getting by with odd jobs and black, unsweetened coffee.

Till one day, after finishing a really odd job, she discovers a little passion that she didn't even knew she had.
