This was written as a conceptual piece focusing on specifically a sort of poem styling. Although, I barely know what a poem is to begin with.

The original bonus of this story, "Background Characters Only", became the central idea throughout the entire thing.

As some people who have read this have pointed out, it's a bit confusing at times. To alleviate this, the actual answer is: "It's earth, there is no up or down."

But seriously, the concept was: What if it was not a singular being per-say but perhaps the spirit of the background pony. It, got a tad muddled but I think overall it works.

A piece which I originally wrote for Beans Writing group, Bean's Writing Group - Fimfiction

The original prompt was: Dancing with myself
The bonus: Background characters only (no OCs, no characters with dialogue outside of a brief cameo)

As always, Comments are appreciated!

This story is a sequel to The Strangers in Ponyville

Second Glance is a Crown Investigator: His job is to look into "matters of interest" for the Princesses. While the hunt for changelings continues, three years after their attack, and is very much a matter of interest, it is not the only matter of interest. Or, for Second Glance, not even a very important one.

At least, not compared to the hunt for the elusive and enigmatic Prince of Ponyton, who may well prove more dangerous than even Queen Chrysalis if he remains free.

Applebloom one day woke up in the middle of a huge land of tall grass, an intense heat and no known pony in sight. She has been going on in this weird plains trying to find a way home and figuring out where she is in the first place.

This is one of her first adventures in the harsh plains of Venezuela, filled with llaneros, ghost and a soul that will change her forever.

One Shot idea, if this gets a good reception I may try to make it a story on the long future.

Sometimes an author might decide to transport themselves into the world of Equestria as a self-insert. The result can sometimes be innocuous, sometimes really great, and sometimes it can be dangerous and unpredictable for everypony involved. But this one self-insert ran into a terrible misfortune that he couldn't have foreseen: he was discovered.

This story was written two years ago, originally as a joke for a group of friends (even though the story works outside that context), as I had no ambition of turning into a serious writer of My Little Pony fanfiction. However, things happened since then, and now this story serves, together with Cupcake Therapy, as a prologue for a big musical adventure, depicted in The Ponyville Rag.

Foreword: this story is not a commentary or critique of self-inserts and OCs in general, much less of any specific cases. This story was written solely as a joke at my own expense, and this is an important fact to remember in the future.

Hardships, trials, strife. These are part of things we call life. And in this giant whirlwind of life, there are the little that we so hardly notice. It's the fore-front we see, not the back-ground. Until unbidden secrets and past actions come back to haunt us, whether we've done them wrong or not. I'm sure this is a story you've heard before.

It's scary, really, when one thinks about how a loved one can change so much in so little time. How when one sees a friend, a sister, or mother go from loving to stone-cold within the span of just a few years. It's scary how deeply words can scar us, even when we never let it show. How actions speak of who we are, no matter how we go about them. And how the past will always be there, lurking in the backs of our minds. The past came back to haunt them. To shred them. To bury them, using just a few tools. Jealousy, miscommunication, oversight, gossip, to name a few.

After all, only one in a million receive tutelage under one and only ruler of the known world on Equus. And how much envy and rumors would this cause? How many would try to ruin her? How many would kill her for that spot? And many times can one's heart be broken before it refuses to fixed? How many times can a friendship be broken before it can't be healed, no matter how thick that bandage is?

Princess Twilight has always struggled to make time for her family and friends. To maintain her friendship with her sisters in harmony. And even after a few years of being in royalty, she succeeds. But one session of gala planning could ruin all that. After lost feathers, a broken bridge, a few spoken words, missing marks, a sacrifice made via magic, and an evil seed planted in one heart, the girls find themselves behind closed iron bars. Unhindered, their anger begins to grow, directed at the one who earned her crown only three years ago.

How far is the daughter of a supposed lost kingdom willing to go to save her friends after years of torture and conflict? How deep is that pain going to dig, leaving no room in her heart for others? How many innocents is the Element of Magic itself going to hurt in order to keep her secret? And how long is that shadow going to linger in the corners of one's mind?

And how did six constantly fighting siblings get in the mix of all of this?
