This story is a sequel to Rainbow Unicorn: Griffon Grief

A traveling unicorn by the name of Lightning Blast arrives in Ponyville to perform her show. However, she is a loud, flashy, braggart who takes too many risks. This does not go over with the citizens of Ponyville.

Rainbow has known Fluttershy for a long time, almost longer than she can remember remembering things at all. Lately, though... things have been weird. Not like... super weird, but weird.

It's like... Shy is still Shy, but cooler? Not quite. It's complicated. Rainbow wasn't actually planning to do anything about it, though. Not until Applejack stuck her nose into Rainbow's business.

Still, maybe it will be okay. She just has to talk to Shy, right?

She had always been a pony that could be looked up to. Someone who seemed to know exactly what to do in any situation. But history tells time and time again that nopony is invincible.

Several months after Soarin nervously asked Rainbow Dash out on a date, the two of them are enjoying a happy, healthy relationship with one another. Rainbow Dash gets to be with one of the most kind, loving and loyal stallions she's ever met, not to mention a fellow Wonderbolt, and Soarin get to be with the mare of his dreams. Yet when he takes her out drinking one night, he finds out just how adorably troublesome she can be.

Reading Not Such a Newbie is not required to understand this story.

It is in the moment of our greatest need that we become the most susceptible to change. But sometimes, what you have to offer, might not be enough, even if you are a princess who has seen more suffering than any other pony in this world.

When a young life is in danger, it is up to Luna and Rainbow to help overcome what is the result of their own shortcomings.

Gem hunting is part of Rarity's job but she also enjoys to have some company while she's out. Since Spike is not available, Rainbow Dash has to fill the gap. But not before long, they find themselves in deep trouble. Or are they?

(2nd Person POV) Your childhood started out just like any other. You had friends, you attended school, you had a mother and father. It was all taken away from you. You have no recollection of your childhood, only the scene of a traumatic event. Losing all hope in recovering, you leave to a small, secluded town known as Ponyville, hoping to isolate yourself. You'll find out that all you needed was a little color to revive those memories.
