Fizzlepop Berrytwist, now acclimated to Ponyville by Twilight's recommendation, was invited to a party for Gummy's birthday. She didn't want to go, but she went anyway, and found herself being alone, again. Like always.

Fortunately for her, a human by the name of Anon was not a fan of being alone. And he was going to make sure she wasn't alone any longer, even if it meant embarrassing her the whole time.

Marianne Evergold is a kind-hearted girl with strange tastes, for she's the only person she knows whose favorite character is... Diamond Tiara. Snotty, bratty, childish, and vain? Perhaps. But she adored her all the same. The confidence with which Tiara carried herself was something she never had. In her eyes, Tiara was truly graceful and picturesque. And while she understood that drama needed a conspirator and Tiara was just the natural calling card for the show's writers, she never liked the idea that she was truly evil. So when the show ended its last season with her being turned to stone for her years of villainy and almost bringing Equestria to ruin... Mary could not accept it.

The only thing she could never understand was... why did they never give her a proper redemption? It always felt like they would. Yet they never did. And if by some miracle they ever did, she would never get to see it.

For she finds she awakes one day in the lands of the colorful Equestria. Far from home. So very far from friends. And so, so very far from family.

And in the horseshoes of Diamond Tiara herself, no less.

But at least she has a goal now. To save Tiara from that fate. Already with a history of bad blood halfway into the show, it would be no easy feat to redeem her as no one would allow her the opportunity after many years of treachery. But Mary vowed to never give up on Diamond Tiara and would keep to her promise come what may.

All while Tiara herself sat back silently in her mind, sealed from being able to take control of her own body again and watching it all unfold.

Twilight Sparkle has had it up to HERE with having to dole out punishments, reprimand authority, and in general be left out of all the fun things. So when the Cutie Map sends her on her own expedition to foreign lands with a bunch of her friends and a bird pirate, she jumps at the opportunity.

There was a lot of booze involved. And shoggoths.

Sea Swirl, working through a semester on Earth, has no plans for Christmas. A chance encounter with Tempest Shadow might change that.

"I'm easy to please, what I like in a story is background characters that never got enough screentime. Heck, surprise me with a toy-only pony, or some other character who's so obscure I've got to check the wiki.

G4 or G5 or Equestria Girls are all cool with me. Likewise, HiE or PoE is good . . . in fact, if it's a PoE and the pony (or other Equestrian) is working a job on Earth, that's super awesome!"

I also modeled some events in the story on the CrowdStrike IT outages. It's not really critical to understand that, but I figured I'd clear it up here just in case.

While Twilight Sparkle plans her grand Friendship Festival, Tempest Shadow diligently plans out her invasion of Equestria's capital city. While she is confident in her own abilities as well as those of her troops, she's taking no risks. Before departure, she requests one of the Storm King's most capable and devious units. Creatures, who like her, were promised something for their service.

This story is a sequel to The Prince

Five years have passed since the Equestrian victory against the invading minotaur army, and peace has returned to the land. The first annual memorial celebration has arrived in Canterlot, led by Prince Antares. However, in the midst of the celebration, Equestria is invaded by an army from far away, led by the powerful unicorn Tempest Shadow in the name of The Storm King.

Now on the run, Antares must reclaim his conquered nation, no matter the cost.

Just as a brief point of interest: I loved the movie. This is not a fix fic any more than the first TD Alicorn story was a fix fic of the Season 3 finale. This is just an interesting idea I had.

Tempest Shadow, or rather Fizzlepop Berrytwist is no longer under the Storm King's thumb. That much she is certain of. She's also certain she's lost, without direction. Perhaps a talk with Twilight Sparkle, and a bubble bath of all things can change that.

AU to a Canterlot Wedding with a twist. Shades of the movie.

Twilight left Equestria ashamed of calling Cadence evil without knowing she was replaced by Queen Chrysalis. The real Cadence was accidentally found and the Changeling invasion was foiled.

Since then Princess Celestia and her friends have been searching for Twilight.

2 years later the Crystal Empire returns and Twilight's friends are sent but it seemed that an armada led by the stern faced Tempest got there first. She is there on behalf of a new empire ruled by Queen Twilight.

It is a peculiar thing how the cold makes equals of all creatures - even though already hardened by the fires of their fury. How its twinkling tapestry makes all life that breaks through its bitter chill all the more beautiful. Perhaps this icy inroad will help turn Tempest back from her Equestria-eradicating mission before it is too late.

And if not, maybe it will show her another who can break through her hardened heart. If only for a while.
