The love lives of the fillies in the Ponyville Schoolyard are kicked into high gear by the arrival of a new colt who only wishes to be left alone. However, with everypony wanting to welcome him and be his friend, or give him a hard time for being a Blank Flank, he sees no other option than to counterattack the only way he knows how, passive aggressively.

Little could he have known that surprise kisses and group date invites are less effective at driving fillies away than it was back in his homeland, and he soon finds himself at the center of crush central with no way out. Sometimes, being a Winning Pony is a curse.

For months now, Ponyville Schoolhouse has enjoyed peace and harmony, but such tranquility can never last. A new bully has risen to power, striking fear into everypony at school, and her name is Dinky Doo! When she's not listening attentively in class, taking a test, or doing her homework, she becomes the baddest of the bad. It falls to Miss Cheerilee to set the filly back on the straight and narrow before it's too late, at least according to Dinky herself.

After his father committed suicide, he was taken in by his uncle Time Turner and now lives in Ponyville, trying to adjust to his new life there. But Clue is convinced that his father was murdered, even though no one believes him, which weighs down on him considerably.

Thankfully, with the help of some friends--including the imaginary voice of his hero, Phillip Finder, protagonist of A.K. Yearling's Equestria Noire series--he'll find his way and gain the experience and knowledge he needs to become a true detective and maybe even find his father's killer.

A small pegasus colt wakes to find himself in a huge crater with absolutely no memory of how he got there. Or any memory at all.
Well, that's not entirely true. He remembered a single word. Sidereus.
The strange thing was that he didn't remember anything else. Except maybe how to talk. And how to breathe. And that's about it. Well, that's inconvenient.

Things take a nasty turn as he finds his magic is not acting as it should, permanently costing him his sight. He finds a way to cope, but what does it mean for him? How did this happen? Why? And was this a magical accident? Or is there a force more sinister behind it all? Both? No, that's ridiculous.

My name was Sparkler. I was a pony with dreams and goals and ambitions. What am I now? A pebble rattles at the other end of the alley and my head jerks upright. Nothing visible. But then they never are, are they? Not until it’s too late.

This was written as part of the third Quills and Sofas Extended Universe contest, wherein we write sequels to each others stories. This is technically a sequel to a story titled The Hunt by Otter, but it's unpublished and honestly you don't need to read the prequel to enjoy this story. It's also something of a spiritual sequel or AU to this old story of mine, My Little Sister. It's definitely not the path I'd want Sparkler and Dinky's lives to take, but this is definitely my versions of those characters in a dark AU.

While tormenting a fellow classmate, Diamond Tiara gets asked an unexpected question...
