This story is a sequel to Orangeglow Visits Ponyville

After what feels like half a year, Mayor Mare is somehow finally sober. After regaining her bearings, she decides she should leave the Crystal Empire for Ponyville. Unbeknownst to her, things have changed a lot since her drunken flight north.

A few days after the raid and subsequent dissolution of the terrorist organisation only known as "The Company". Twilight has to deal with both her feelings and what comes next.

Why did they do it? How did they? Evil is a parasite, an illness and Equestria is the host. During the 14 years after the death of Princess Celestia by Nightmare Moon's hoof, things have not gone particularly well for the unicorn.

This is one of my first stories so please keep that in mind :)

Six months have passed since the battle of Canterlot, Equestria’s capital. During the battle, a young former royal guard named, Damien Runner was ambushed and nearly killed. It was only through the sudden intervention of a mysterious super-powered being known as "Great Marvel" was he saved. Embittered, Humiliated and his pride wounded, Damien looks to redeem himself, and to him, the only way to do so is to challenge Celestia, the ruler of Canterlot, to a duel. Although at first against the idea, Celestia eventually accepts, on the condition that Damien’s cousin, Applejack, faces Celestia’s younger sister, Luna in combat. Damien agrees to the terms while Applejack grudgingly accepts.

Life has a weird way of messing with you. You might get screwed here or there, out a job, maybe a stab in the back, nothing you can't get back from. Then there are those times. The times you can't get back from within your wildest dreams. And the universe couldn't cut me a break and make the impossibility simple. It is Nightmare Night again, but it won't be as cheerful as previous times. Dark forces came from the past to terrify innocents. However, they're not really what they seem to be. The mane 6 and Luna will have to face new enemies in this nightmarish night, to stop them from plunging the world in darkness. They weren't expecting what they'll see though.
