The Bearers of the Elements of Harmony failed to stop Sombra in time from getting into the Crystal Empire and acquiring the Crystal Heart. Now the Crystal Empire is ruled over by a tyrannical unicorn, that will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

Equestria is on the brink of war, and the only ones who can stop the evil king of the Crystal Empire, are six mares. Those six mares are the Element Bearers, but can they use the elements while one of their own is missing and in fact within their enemy's grasp?

Twilight Sparkle has been living a lie. Everypony told her what a beautiful and accomplished mare she was. Everypony thought she was a responsible adult. They were wrong. She was still just a filly trying to stumble her way through life.

When five foals asked Princess Twilight Sparkle to please try and paint the moon purple during Nightmare Night, she initially refused. It wasn't until they insisted (and Princess Luna quite basically dared her) that she relented. She only relented, however, because she really thought she wouldn't be able to do it.

Too bad she thought wrong.

Called in to to investigate the magical curiousity, Princess Luna is asked to take the foal into her custody. After first mistaking the foal for a lunar alicorn, but then learning the truth, Luna agrees to take the foal into her care.

Luna learns the hard way that foal care is not her forte and the immortal alicorn is quickly laid low by the newborn foal.

A prequel of sorts to The Wheel and the Butterfly Saga. Can be read on its own.

The Black Cloaks, the fabled agency that polices magic, has been revived by Princess Twilight Sparkle. This is a collection of short stories and even long stories detailing their exploits. Reading The Chase is helpful, but not required.

Since time immemorial, the Grand Council of Immortals has watched over all aspects of Equestrian life. They determine the destinies of all things on the mortal plane, both great and small. They convene once every one hundred years, and the Immortal who plays host to the gathering is permitted one request.

This century, it is Princess Celestia who will host the meeting... and who will ask for an unprecedented gift be granted to the newest alicorn princess.
