Short oneshot that just sort of fell out of my head this evening.

Yesterday, a book on massage nearly destroyed Ponyville. Today, a rumor just might destroy Rarity, or lead to her destroying Ponyille. Spike is there to help, of course, or at least try to. All he really wanted to do was ask her out.

Spike is turning eighteen which means he could either stay with Twilight or leave to go off on his own. Though what he tells Twilight isnt exactly what she expects him to say.

After Rarity falls for a new prince, Spike is infuriated for wasting five years of his life trying to please her. So Twilight, being the good friend she is, decides to calm him down as much as she can. However, she may have been a little too nice to him, because later that night Spike begins to have romantic dreams about her. At first they horrify him, but eventually he begins to like them. Then he finally begins to understand why he keeps having these dreams; he's beginning to fall in love with his best friend, but will she return his affection or leave him out in the cold like Rarity?

Spike is totally down in the dumps this Hearts And Hooves Day, having struck out with Rarity once more. Can a certain alicorn get him out of his funk, and back to the fun-loving dragon we know and love? Hmm....

Something special for Hearts And Hooves Day (which is a much better name than Valentine's Day, if you ask me)

Most days are ordinary until we make them special.

Spike loves Rarity; everypony knows that. But why? Is it just because he finds her the most beautiful pony he's ever seen? Is it her mane? Or is it something deeper, beyond just her looks? This question haunts Rarity, and after a certain incident strikes she's determined to find out the answer.
