Forged in fires of magic and charcoal. Worn with pride, damaged in battle after battle in times when ponies were no strangers to war. Repaired again and again. A regal mare's suit of armour tells a small but significant part of her story.

This is quite the tough story to properly tag. Anyhow, despite the title, this story has no relation to the Halo universe. This is a tentative foray into a new form of narrative style on my part, so any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Princess Celestia tires of constantly being surrounded by decorum, deference, and formality, and decides to take a day off from being Princess. But visiting Ponyville incognito is harder than she expects. Will she be able to fit in and make friends without blowing her cover?

  The Cycle of Flame defines every phoenix’s life, even those who refuse to fly the path ordinated by the Cloudsong. One such mischievous phoenix has found a home on the edge of the dangerous Dragon Lands. But after an old friend beckons her home, this phoenix meets a creature of myth and legend who gives her a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
  The phoenixes know her as Glorious Dawn.
  But the ponies of Equestria know her by a different name...

Twilight has a problem on her hooves. An hour before Celestia was supposed to come to Ponyville for the Summer Sun Celebration, she's accidentally gone and killed everyone dead. As in, "dead as a doornail" dead. Now she's got to fix it before Celestia shows up and finds out.

Or, at the very least, make sure that Celestia doesn't know that they're dead.

Look at that castle... It's a nice castle, right? You'd like to live there wouldn't you? You innocent soul...

When a magic castle pops up in the middle of private property, it spells nothing but trouble. Ponies sue over damages to property values, the plumbing infrastructure is non-existent, and the insurance rate for a disaster magnet town like Ponyville is through the roof, without even considering it being made of crystals. It's a total nightmare and it all costs money.

Twilight found herself face-to-face with such a curse. While she has managed for such a long time, she has discovered her castle is infested with the worst possible thing of all. Friends. Gathering for a summit, Twilight is about to lay down the love and tolerance down on her friends. Shenanigans ensue.
