When Princess Luna goes missing, Private Lucky Break knows there's more at work than a simple breach of court protocol.

For most, Hearth's Warming is an occasion to celebrate family and friends, a time for reflection and goodwill to all of Equestria's residents. But for two ponies, their relationship with the holiday is much more complicated.

Lucky, batpony soldier of the Night Guard, is assigned to escort Princess Luna to the grand reopening of her Night Court mere months after her return to Equestria. Everything goes well at first, until a visitor inadvertently offends the princess. Incensed, she cancels court and sends everypony away. However, when Lucky goes to offer comfort to a distraught Luna, she storms out.

Spurred on by an old wound buried deep in his heart, Lucky strives to mend a bond between sisters that feels all too familiar, and find the missing diarch before her grief consumes her.

It's been more than a thousand years since the Mane Six's adventures in Ponyville, and things look very different. Equestria is gone, devoured by chaos. Nightmare creatures roam the lands, changelings prey on the few remaining pony settlements, and all trace of the peace and harmony during Princess Celestia's reign has vanished.

Until, that is, a small group of ponies set out to map the Tangle, and find a slumbering dragon inside. Now Spike, a millenium out of his time and with only his memories to comfort him, is ponykind's only hope. Together, he and his new friends set out to find the one pony who can set things right: Twilight Sparkle.

Hello. I don't know who you are. I don't know why you're here, or why you want to talk to me. And I doubt you care, anyway. But since you asked, I'll talk. I'll answer your questions. I need a break from my search anyway.

... I don't know what to say about this one, really. It involves my OC, Deep, but he was not created for stories. The first chapter is loosely based on a forum in OC Roleplay, but after that it becomes its own thing. Credit goes to Rapplejack for proofreading, and also for being the best proofreader I've ever had, this site or otherwise.

This story is a sequel to The Equestrian Card Wars of 2013

The call has gone out. The world cries out for a hero, or at least something to keep us entertained for a while until something else comes up.

Now, in Ponyville, great heroes assemble to do battle in a mighty tournament of glory. But is anypony prepared for the dangers that await them, in... the Lair of the Necromancer?

Probably. But come on, where's the fun in it if we already know that?

A story about ponies playing Magic: the Gathering.
Rated Teen for ponies behaving badly, elaborate profanity.
Cover art from Ponylude.

Magic: the Gathering, beloved of nerds across the multiverse, allowing everypony to express their personality in the worst possible way since before Nightmare Moon was banished. One day, the game spreads across Ponyville, with dire and nonsensical consequences. Will Ravnicolt survive the onslaught of Rainbow's dragon deck? Will Neighcol Bolas's diabolical master plan come to fruition? Will anypony make it through a whole game without facehoofing?
Probably not.

A series of vignettes to no greater point or purpose. More may be added later. Or not.
In spite of my best efforts to keep it simple, this probably won't make much sense if you don't have at least some understanding of the game.
Cover art from Ponylude.

The smell of coffee and a nicely folded newspaper is all that Celestia wants in the beautiful morning after she raises the sun. For as long as she could remember, that has been the same routine and she would have it no other way.

However, she forgot about one thing: Discord. While reformed, that doesn't mean he doesn't cause some chaos. When Discord comes between her and her paper... Oh, the chaos.

Outgoing.

It’s something that all your life, you have never been. A stallion with a rather reserved personality, you’re fine with being on your own, though admittedly, harbour a bit of a desire to have more in your life when it comes to friends and the like. The problem is though, you’re not exactly sure how to get out of this ‘social life-less’ situation you find yourself in, and actually achieve such desires.

That is, until one brightly pink mare comes into your life, and gives you all that and so much more.
--------------------------------

God only knows how long I've spent writing this prologue. Revision after revision after revision… I guess I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Anyhow, consider me as new to the fic-writing scene. I'm aware that the whole ‘opposites attract’ storyline is a bit cliché, but since this is my first time writing an actual story, it’s what I felt the most comfortable with.

But enough of that, heh.

Tags and whatnot will be updated as characters and themes are added, and comments and constructive criticism are welcome. Hope you all enjoy!

"That design, those accents, that functionality! Why, if you told me this was simply a costume, I would have never known!"

Before their departure back to Ponyville, Rarity spies Spike longingly admiring a strange event being set up at the very hotel they stayed at. Instantly getting stars in his eyes, he tells her that this is the same venue for the largest comicbook convention in Equestria, the Manehatten Comic-Con. Although she initially feels indifferent towards a bunch of ponies dressing up as their favorite heroes and villains from their comics, she can't help but take notice of the level of craftsmanship and love that goes into their costumes...as well as the intriguing subculture behind it all.
