Pinkie Pie learns the weirdest thing about ponies in love; they nibble each other’s ears.

But, why?

Warning: This story is a slow descent into wat. It’s mainly Random & Slice of Life, with minor Comedy and Romance elements.

An entry for the January 2016 write-off event, with the prompt “Look, I Can Explain…”.

Pikie Pie the elemnt of laughter and as the fandom knows very well, is not the only conscious pony inside her head.

After entering the maze to find the elements and stop discord Pinkie discusses the recent turn of events with her secret and more serious sister Pinkamena.

And as Discord's trick in the balloon garden takes effect the two pink mares are seperated and while Pinkie Pie becomes a bitter mare Pinkamena is forced to wander through a world of chaos as she plays Discords game.

But is there more to their actions than the spirit of chaos realisies?

The bond of two siblings will be tested and new ideas shall come to light.

Smiles, laughter, happiness, these are the three things the rock farm Harley had they try their best not to show these emotions afraid of what might come. Afraid that it well sense those three feelings. For years, the Pie family live their lives away from civilization out of fear, but it's not always easy for the young ones unknown of what may come for them, raised to feel little of these emotions. Granny Pie knew these things but did not care. She would laugh, smile, and dance so she can show the young ones true happiness even if it means it coming after her she would keep on smiling even if it falls off her face when they whisper.

Pinkie Pie, holder of the element of laughter and one of the kindest ponies in all of equestria has changed. Something snapped in her mind and caused her to secretly kidnap and murder dozens of Ponyville's residents, only to bake them into festive cupcakes. When her gruesome deeds are discovered by Celestia, she is spirited away under cover of night for fear of other ponies finding out and panicking. Believing that Pinkie Pie can return to normal and not wanting to deprive Equestria of one of its greatest methods of defense, she is sent on a journey through her own fractured psyche to do battle with the horrifying monster that has taken root inside of her. Will be be successful and return to her friends, or will she fall to the madness slowly consuming her?

This fanfic is a crossover with American McGee's Alice, though events, items, and characters have been changed to characters from MLP.

Rating is currently "Teen" for gore, though that may change .

Sometimes, its hard to smile, though you've been doing it your whole life. Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't hold back the tears.

She cried each night, then goes right back smiling and laughing every day. Nopony see's her pain. Sometimes, she wonders if anypony even cares. But, She goes right back to pretending. She's the element of laughter - of course she can fake a smile.

After all, she's not important. Pinkie has always put everypony else above herself.

After the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle and Spike, Pinkie Pie dips into the dark end of things and is her normal self no longer. Greed can be a more powerful influence of one's actions than even years of friendship and love together.

Can anything bring back things to what they once were?

Rainbow Dash has deep suspicions about Pinkie Pie. She does believe the party pony has a dark past which she tries to hide behind a curtain of laughter. And Rainbow Dash is out to find out that past.

Though they think Rainbow is kind of getting carried by the idea, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity and Twilight Sparkle soon get curious by it. Perhaps Rainbow Dash is right... Perhaps Pinkie Pie has some really dark stuff deep in her past...

...or maybe not.

As the Bearer of Laughter, Pinkie D. Pie has always been upbeat and friendly. But even the most optimistic pony can reach her limit. When three bullies show up one night in Ponyville, they unwittingly give her the excuse she needs.
