It's Hearth's Warming Eve and Fluttershy's gift from Aunt Luna is a nutcracker. Her aunt tells her that he is under a curse, cast by an evil monster called the Chaos King.

She doesn't believe her until night falls and the Chaos King comes with his army. Shrunk in the battle, Fluttershy must venture with the nutcracker into the Land of Sweets to defeat the Chaos King and break his evil spells.

A derailment at Ponyville Engine Sheds means that Locomotion has the day off, so he decides to spend it with Apple Bloom and Sweetie-Belle. While hanging out at Sugarcube Corner, the two fillies tell him the tale of how Fluttershy and Big Macintosh first met, and how the Cutie Mark Crusaders, having nearly ruined everything for the two ponies with the whole Hearts and Hooves day fiasco, tried to make amends for it all...

All Fluttershy wants to do is help animals. Even when it might prove dangerous to her, she sacrifices herself for the well-being of her critters.

Being in the Apple Family comes with its struggles. Living in Ponyville requires a lot of patience. But having to live with both? May the Princesses help that poor pony.

This is a simple story of sacrifice, shyness, wise old grannies, rodents of unusual intelligence, apples, magic, and a whole lot of love.

There are a lot of roads to be walked. Some are easy. Some are tough. Some are easy to see. And some are not.

That morning, Big Macintosh has to walk. And while doing so, he thinks about his life, about his family... and about his relationship with a certain yellow pegasus. Because sometimes, you need to stop and remember.

But Big Mac's been acting odd around Fluttershy lately. Mac's always been so forthcoming, what is he holding back?

After following a baby griffon into a dangerous situation, Fluttershy finds herself rescued by a kind-hearted dragon and ends up befriending him. Ultimately, they both decide to raise the child. As Fluttershy and her friends spend time with the lonely dragon, the more he learns about friendship and the more he reveals about his tragic past.
