Ponyville Asylum has prepared Spike for a lot of strange things - but never for an appearance by the Great and Powerful Trixie. Fresh off of a massive wave of Hollyhoof fame, Trixie is locked up for reasons unknown, but is more than willing to share the tale of her rise to glory. From her first meeting with Ostentatious Clop to her hit See-Glass reality show, "Tagging Along With Trixie," the Great and Powerful one shares with her fellow mental patients the story of her epic adventures. "Prepare, now!" she demands. "Empty your minds! Open your hearts! Gird your loins!” Through loss, love, lust, ludicrous scenarios, laughably awful humor and lots of underhanded allegory, Trixie will inspire you to become Great and Powerful, too. Prepare, foals...

It was supposed to be boring. The Annual Magic Users Convention is the one event of the year that recognizes all the accomplishments that unicorns, alicorns and other magic users have made. It's usually a night of long-winded speeches, mind-numbing presentations and unappetizing food. But when a certain mailmare finds two tickets to the convention addressed to her house, she decides that it is not only her privilege, but her duty to attend. And after suitably preparing herself for the occasion, she changes what is usually a boring night into one of the wildest and most bizarre experiences in a thousand years.

When Twilight Sparkle asks Spike to order her a computer, he thinks nothing of it. But when Twilight begins devoting all her time to the magical device and hiding her activities, things begin to get strange. Spike's fear for his best friend's condition increases as she cleans the basement all by herself - and demands that Spike stay out of it. The young dragon attempts to seek help from the rest of the Mane Six, only to find that they, too, are too enraptured by their computers to deal with Ponyville living.

A forced trip to the basement lands Spike in the middle of the answers he's looking for - and all the shocking revelation those answers entail.

This story is a sequel to Of Solicitude

Ten years after a massive war, Equestria has changed. The Empire now rules over all, giving peace and prosperity to those that deserve it, but some are against this new rulership.
The CMC, a small, raggedy group of smugglers working for the Apple family, are caught red-hoofed by an Imperial patrol. As the friends fight for their lives, they learn about themselves, each other, and the world they now reside in.
Meanwhile, in Canterlot, Emperor Blueblood has amassed a massive fleet and is preparing to smash what is left of the rebellion under the oppressive hoof of his Empire.

Princess Trollestia has a parent-teacher meeting with Twilight's mother.

Sweetie Belle, alone and dejected, comes across The Great and Powerful Trixie, who was ostracized for her prior misdeeds involving the Ursa Minor. Trixie becomes Sweetie Belle's tutor, giving Sweetie (and perhaps herself as well) both the guidance and companionship she needs.

This is a S1 fic. Events take place before 'The Return of Harmony, pt 1'.
Writing for this fic began before Season 2, so events do not match canon storylines.
