Celestia's morning has been difficult enough, between hearing Twilight's confession of love, and then breaking her heart as gently as possible. After a sudden realization about how Shining Armor became a captain in the Royal Guard, Rainbow Dash hatches an insidious plot to become Captain of the Wonderbolts by following in his hoofsteps in the only appropriate manner...

His bizarrely intense love for the holidays is both refreshing and a bit dangerous. But he won't stop at decorations and carols. For his first Hearth's Warming Eve, Discord wants to prove to his friends that he really has changed by giving them each a present they will love above all others. But a little bit of the whole "Spirit of Chaos" thing insists on leaking into the gifts. When all have been given out and he's left to think about the results, he starts to wonder if this is all just proof that he was never meant to be anything more than a villain.

Only a few hours after she learned of the Griffon Empire's invasion, Princess Celestia surrendered herself to the griffon army and asked for an audience with the Griffon Emperor.

The Emperor thinks she's here to negotiate Equestria's surrender.
